“Spotlight” is an RnB hip-hop single that promotes self-love and care for the feminist audience, as well as provide a gentle method of flirtation to modern male population. The beat and the arrangement composed by Benny Char, while the song features a South Korean RnB and ballad singer songwriter Minsung Kim. Both have previously worked together on their previous single release “Alright”, where it also promotes a message about self-care and discusses the topic of depression.
While the song presents a positive message, the music itself is very groovy. The bass and the beat seeming to be the main source of the groove, Benny Char succeeds to deliver a chill flow in his rap, while complimenting Minsung’s voice.​
