Benny Goodman, is in a recording of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto (no easy piece), and does a great job. I think he had a love for classical music. As always - 9 years in the future and these posts still calm my week down. Thanks!

That was one creative piece of Mozart there. Goodman and his mates were superb in this broadcast. Bert Parks used to host the Miss America Pageant in the 1960's.

Bert started out as a network staff announcer- on NBC and CBS - before he became the emcee of "BREAK THE BANK" in 1945. His most famous radio quiz show was "STOP THE MUSIC" [ABC, 1948-'52], which also appeared on TV through the mid-1950's. He hosted a LOT of game shows through the 1960's at the same time he was emcee of the annual Miss America Pageant (1955-'79).
