My grandfather could play so nice. I wish I knew him. My Mother travel with his band occasionally.

I've always loved this orchestra; a tight and powerful sound to complement Bunny's own trumpet style. Sad that such a wonderful musician had so pitiful an end in 1942. Thanks again, Barry. Stay well, you and your listeners everywhere!

@Wayne Colburn That's amazing! Did you catch the jazz bug too? I've been a devotee of Bunny's playing since before I can remember. He inspired me to take up the horn.

That's wonderful! Also, Bunny's nephew Kaye Berigan is an accomplished professional trumpeter. It's great to see the Berigan musical tradition live on.

This is priceless- a whole life program of the band at it's apogee in both personnel and fortunes. To have been there. Were those turn-rounds really that impossibly quick, or has there been some editing? Thank you for this, Barry. This really was the hottest band on the stand in 38, it's leader a technical and creative genius of giant stature.
