Look at the facts yourself and interpret them yourself. Pretend you're there. What story makes the most sense? You can rely on Wikipedia but it has a pro-Israel bent to everything. For example, if you read the Wiki entry about the Isreali-Palestine conflict, it doesn't state anything outright wrong, but it paints a different picture. It doesn't state how Palestinians actually dominated the region. Go to the Wiki "Demographic History of Palestine" and look at the population chart. Notice the populations of Arabs (aka Palestinians) and J*ws at 1890. There were hundreds of thousands of Palestinians while only about 40 thousand J*ws. The Palestinians obviously lived and controlled Palestine. You can see via the same chart that Palestinian families had been living in Palestine for thousands of years. (I remember reading this Wiki entry about 15 years ago and it used to state the number of Jews used to be only a few thousands. Again, this shows how Wiki is constantly be re-edited.) Then read about how 800,000 Palestininans were literally kicked out of their homes in 1948 all in a matter of weeks. I think it's a pretty fair assessment to say that the J*ws stole the land from the Palestinians. There are a lot of counter-arguments that the J*ws were given or bought the land, Palestinians didn't live there, etc. But just stop and think. Ask what makes sense. Even if all those things were true (although it isn't), is it ok to just kick hundreds of thousands of people from their land and homes, and then put them in an open air prison for 70 years? This is why every single country in the Middle East and Europe had been on the side of the Palestinians since 1948. Notice how most Americans do not know this story though. They think that 9/11 occurred, not because in retaliation for US support of Israel, but because Muslims hate America. Most Americans truly believe this. Look online and there are so many obfuscations, trying to distort the cause and claiming it was out of religious zeal. It's so hard to weed through the disinformation. However, Osama explicitly stated that it was due to US support of Israel. You can read his literal statement. Even though Osama wasn't a Palestinian himself and he was a Saudi (kinda' like a French guy speaking out for Spain), he devoted all of his inheritance to help the Palestinians fight back. For 6 decades, Palestinians were being oppressed in horrible living conditions, and he wanted the US to stop supporting the apartheid. They had been pleading for decades, and he couldn't take it anymore. Does this put Osama in a different light? Does he look so bad now? I have personally seen info completely erased that's negative about Israel. Wiki has admitted that it's a constant battle against pro-Israel editors. There is an organization called CAMERA that has a lot of resources and it's sole purpose is to spread disinformation in support of Israel. One of their ways is to edit Wiki content. Crazy, no? For example, look at the Elie Wisel entry. Huge controversy because it was found out that he made up all of his stories about concentration camps. This used to be stated in his Wiki entry, but now, any mention is gone. Palestinians did not have access to online computers, so Israel has been pushing a one-sided narrative for decades. It's only recently that the children of Palestinians immigrants have finally grown up and can finally speak out. This is why the narrative has suddenly changed in the last 5 years. Just consider Hamas. Hamas is vilified by Israel but if you really think about it, they are similar to the the Irish Republic Army when Ireland was fighting for independence. They were only fighting for freedom. When you weed through the one-sided narrative, it looks kinda' different, no? What's every crazier is that Hamas was helped started by Israel. You can easily verify this online by Israelis. Israel wants conflict because it justifies holding onto the West Bank and Gaza. It's obvious by now that the leaders in command of Israel actually intend to expel all Palestinians from Palestine altogether. Not right away but over decades. Frankly, this strategy is working. Look at the map of the land offered to the Palestinians. It's just a fraction of what it once was in 1947. This is why Israel is illegally settling in the West Bank. They know that in a few years, it becomes part of Israel. In a century or two, it'll all be part of Israel. How do I know all this? It helps that I took a course on this in college. For you, I suggest to step back and look at all the raw facts for yourself. What makes the most sense? You start seeing through all the disinformation.

I don't think (or I hope not) he seriously wants Israel to use nuclear weapons. He just wants that argument to be used by Israel to force the US into stepping in to avoid that "armageddon". He wants Israel to be that crazy friend who says "you better go talk to them first, because you're not gone like the way I handle it." The US can (and most likely will) call their bluff, as we all know that if Israel were to ever get into nuclear war on their own, they'll be turned into glass in an instant by multiple nations. It's an emotional argument that might work on an average American who might be scared Israel is going to "end the world, so we should try to prevent them from getting to that point", but no one with any knowledge of international alliances would be dumb enough to throw the US into that M.A.D. scenario. Which includes Israel lol, as it's an been a decade after that speech and the nuclear capability of Iran is rarely a point of concerns to persuade international help. It's a dumb strategy and could possibly cause Israel to lose the US support, making them even more alone and vulnerable.

To display how predictable someone's arguments are. It's always a super simple, basic rebuttal that usually take a few seconds to guess. Majority of these commentators (from ALL sides btw), just repeat the same talking points over and over and over again, to where you can easily predict how the entire conversation will go. It just to show how lazy these "intellectual debaters" are and are basically parroting the same talking points as others on their side make; making any type of discussion pretty irrelevant since nothing new is ever being introduced.

Even if he doesn't do it for this reason, trying to predict what someone is going to say is a helpful way to get better at a certain skill. If you can quite accurately predict the arguments that are gonna come from either side, that shows your knowledge is deep enough to allow detecting both fallacies and truths. On top of that it will help any arguments you're trying to predict become ingrained in your memory, allowing smoother debates. This stuff applies to pretty much any field, if you know X historical fact to be true, and someone brings that up, if you have the right amount of knowledge you should be able somewhat discern what comes next.
