Seriously one of the best parts of Oppenheimer. His accent was on point.

I'd argue that HKW, GoodTime and Uncut Gems are three of the greatest American contemporary movies of this century

I got home from oppenheimer and immediately had to investigate who played Teller fully knowing who the Safdie brothers were (but never having seen their faces). Learning that Benny played one of the most crucial parts in the movie was pleasantly surprising! His performance was incredible without the benefit of knowing that he was a major Hollywood player beforehand.

Actually been re-watching GoodTime recently after some watching some interviews the Safdies brothers did when the movie came out. The way they made the movie and the reason they created it are as amazing as the movie itself.

@11:30 Box office for kid films is about what is recently interesting to kids. Kids don't read Judy Bloom now. They should have made this in the 80s, 90s or early aughts. Now kids like others authors, like Neil Gaiman. The Babysitter's Club and Judy Bloom are 80s books -- that's a long time ago for kids now. That's like if you were a 90s kid being told to watch a movie about a book that was cool in the 50s.
