0:32 I find it interesting how these do have a door hold switch for loading alot of stuff or something you get the picture but I do wish they had that in my area because most hospitals or even just small doctors offices dont have that feature and even if they did its probably activated with a keyswitch

That Evans is the exact floor numbering in the US
@Bombiedude.8 ай бұрын
Ill be honest I kind of wish the US numbered floors the way the UK does it because G and 1 makes more sense that just 1 and 2

If only that Hammond & Champness Dover used Impulse fixtures instead of Dewhurst, that would be really awesome.

3:46 wow that must really suck for passengers since that one is broken they have to find the other ones in the building since the big one across the way is teknikkly restricted

hi, great video :) i have been quite ceurious to find this out, actually is it possible for a lift motor to burn out? if so what could cause this. i know this probably sounds like an obvious question lol but i have always wondered as i cant find much on the internet
@benolifts9 жыл бұрын
+Annie Mooney Lift motor burn outs are very rare on lift until recently. Big heavy old lifts such as Express never really go wrong except for small things such as relays fails and interlocks failing safe. In the past lifts engineers would have a lift motor rebuilt when it starts to run bad. They would strip the motor down, rewind it, give it new bearings, then re assemble it. This sort of thinking is now disappearing as generic companies want to replace everything. Little motors on modern MRLs do sometimes burn out if they are used too much over a short space of time. I have read on the internet about Orona lifts regularly have problems from overuse.

+benobve Motors have Windings to create an magnetic fiels, wich will turn a motor around. Thoose Windings allways generates heat. Most motors have a fan wich the axis will turn, and therefore, this fan goes as fast as the motor turns the axis, depending on frequencies. THe Windings allways generate the same heat, no matter wich frequency it gets transmitted. Going too slow will make the fan not turn so fast and the motor will then have heat problems as not much air supply are gained. There are bigger problems with Thyristor-controllers that makes a DC-brake (such as KONE M-series and many other 80's elevators), as Direct current trough the Windings will generate even more heat. One McGregor Navire onboard on M/S Silja Symphony (wich is a KONE elevator with thyristor controllers) had such heat problems so it turned itself off from tiem to time. It has now been replaced by an ecodisc, wich uses Transistors instead ("VF"). Good timing, I just learned all this last week.
