You are exceptionally talented at creating how to/instructional videos. This is one of the best ‘how to’ videos I’ve seen. Not sure if you’ve ever thought about setting up a business selling this service to manufacturers/companies - this is better than 99% of most videos they create. They should be paying you to create these for them!

Well, this was impressive. I've watched a few EVO videos all exclaiming how easy the darn thing is to set up and use but until I watched your video, I remained confused. Heartfelt thanks for this tutorial as it is the best I have seen on this topic. I do not have Pro Tools, (using Cakewalk by Bandlab with a vintage synth) and until you explained the driver settings, I was completely at sea plus I can now use the EVO to listen as I record. The video layout is especially good and no messing around. So, a big thanks from this frustrated EVO user.

Firstly, thanks for the great video! I enjoyed it very much. Secondly, I will never purchase another Audient device after the technical issues i encoutered with the Evo4 and the very poor customer i received. Nobody was able resolve my issues and they eventually stopped replying to my ticket. I through the Evo 4 in the garbage and replaced it with a UA Audio Volt 2. im thinking about getting it because it can run the Shure sm7b (that's what scan pro audio said anyways but do you know?)
@BenoniStudio3 жыл бұрын
The mic pre-amps have 58db of gain. The SM7b usually performs best with 60-70dB of gain. So this interface will run the SM7B pretty well if you are going to stay close to the mic, but you will be maxing out the pre-amps. The good thing is, these preamps are very quiet and don't have much pre-amp noise even when maxed out. However, I always suggest people using an SM7B to invest in a Cloudlifter type device just so they have an extra 25dB of gain to play with. You can always get the interface and add an in-line preamp later if needed. We have reviews of the SM7B and a couple in-line preamps on this channel here: SHURE SM7B - REVEALED (Full Review & Demo) kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKOadJ-ge9CUmdk Cloudlifter Mic Activator - Unleash Your Microphones kzbin.info/www/bejne/fV7Rmatomq2NaqM CODA MUSIC TECHNOLOGIES MB-1 MICROPHONE BOOSTER - REVIEWED kzbin.info/www/bejne/imKbioeHq8-EZ6s

If either the bass or guitar has active pickups, you can plug right into the rear inputs no problem. If you are using the Helix, then just take a line out from that and plug into the rear using 1/4" TRS cables, or even a standard 1/4" TS cable if you don't have any TRS.
