I eat a lot of oats, rice, bananas, nuts and vegetables daily.. occasionally beans and wholemeal bread.. but what I cannot give up is my favourite yoghurt and CHEESE. I LOVE oats with yoghurt and I always mix a slice of cheese in with steamed rice (cheesy rice!). Don't know how to give these two things up. I do mostly eat just plain whole foods but ... yeah I still have to work on some stuff (oh, and my addiction to diet sodas... that's a BIG problem of mine!)

Lots of plastic packaging for sake of convenient options, ie the chopped onion. Does it get recycled or end up in landfill ?
@BenParkes5 жыл бұрын
We recycle everything at home that can be recycled. You can never win.. we either buy fresh and some of the food inevitably gets thrown away as it goes off, or buy frozen, which usually means reduced carbon footprint and no waste of food. Whichever option I do, someone will say I should be doing the opposite! :-)
@robertmills35904 жыл бұрын
In general nowadays waste disposed of ends up at an incinerator where the heat is used to generate electricity for feeding into the national grid. Gases from the stack are scrubbed to prevent atmospheric pollution. Hence the plastics are used and do not pollute the environment where incinerators are available, which they generally are in the London area.
@mrpeterson814 жыл бұрын
@@BenParkes thanks for the response Ben. I get if your competing/travelling you need to tightly control what you can eat/when. in Australia where I'm from there is some soft-plastic recycling, but it's fairly easy to get quality fresh organic produce all year round.

If you're deficient in a certain nutrient, it might not necessarily show up on bloods tests. Calcium blood concentration, for example, is tightly regulated by the body. If the concentration falls, calcium will be taken from the bones. Science isn't as advanced as some people think. I recommend you experiment and trust how you feel and perform, rather than relying on the results from your blood tests...
