Ok I’m not gonna lie…I had tears in my eyes at the end. I think anybody who’s followed Ben & Sarah’s journey will feel the same. I’ve just been through the dictionary from front to back and can confirm that there are no words to describe how amazing this is! My 12-year-old daughter is in to running (it’s our daddy/daughter thing), doing junior parkruns and running with me, and she talks about running goals she has for when she is an adult. I’m going to sit with her and watch this again because as much as she loves her dad, what she will get from seeing an immensely talented female runner achieve something so amazing will inspire her in a way that I can’t. Well done, and thank you for this gift
@SarahPlace2 жыл бұрын
aww that is so lovely to hear thank you ollie. i would LOVE for more women to get into the sport of ultrarunning and see a better ratio on the start line of things like this! and i'm sure your daughter will be one of them in a few years time :)

I felt the same Ollie, as the other half of a daddy-daughter running duo. SO inspirational. Started running with my daughter when she was very young. She's 22, and I'm 58 now, and we still train and do fun adventure runs together (vids on my channel). I sent her a link to this video before I was even done watching it!

As an endurance runner, i could actually feel what that was like just by this film. Wonderful work Sarah and Ben. Well done Ben for some great support work, but Sarah, that was amazing. People ask why we run stupid distances occasionally and the answer is simple. If you can mentally endure that, you can do anything. Sarah, you Superstar!!

I go to Cornwall most years on holiday. I've "ran" quite a lot of the coastal path - only in sections though. The terrain is BRUTAL. You clamber more than you run and regularly turn your ankles on the uneven surfaces. The idea of tackling 100 miles of that in one go is NUTS!! I've got utter respect for everyone who took part in that race. Well done Sarah, the hug at the end from the race co-ordinator made me a bit emotional you did very well to stay so composed given how fatigued you must have been.

I have come across your channel today as I have started running again and want to do the 50 mile run in 2025. As a Former Royal Marines Commando, I can sympathise with Sarah with being in those dark places mentally and physically. What was amazing to see is the pure grit and determination to crack on to complete the 100 miles. Kudos to Sarah for completing it and the smile at the end was huge. Nice one Ben with the film and crewing for her. Your turn next?!....(I am yet to look through your other videos, maybe you have done it already!).

New runner here: This was absolutely epic, I even got emotional near the end. Preparing for the London Marathon later in the year and after just watching this I am beginning to lose respect for the marathon 42K distance. 100 miles, 4 marathon lengths, more pairs of running shoes than I’ve owned my whole life, great film.

I've just finished watching and these last steps taken before the FINISH LINE were touching. I had tears in my eyes. So far, the longest run I had was 26,5k so cannot compare in anyway with Sarah, however, crossing body's bounderies is an AMAZING feeling. Great movie, great team work of you two and Sarah WOW!!! you're an amazing lovely human being. Such a great event you had and I keep my fingers crossed for you. Ben, you are such a great person keeping Sarah motivated, helping her out as a support crew. You both motives me so much that I cannot even describe it. Congratulations Sarah!. You will remember that feeling when you crossed the finish line for a long time. It is something special. The Arc is my local race and is brutal. On average, only 50% finish because it is so tough, so to get around on your first attempt is a great achievement. Well done. I'd hoped to say hi at some point as I've been following both your channels for a while but our paths didn't cross over the weekend though my crew was parked next door at the Minack apparently. Maybe at another Cornish race in the future? (Oh and I was pleased to see you using the timing table I put together. Hopefully it was useful.)
