Good review. I have never had this whisky until now . I like ardbeg for smoke and aberlour for sweetness. This is a bit of both. £33 on discount is steal.

I passed through the Benriach Smoky 10 on my peat quest. We had sample bottles readily available in our market, so I wasn't required to invest much in tasting it. I found it to be okay, but the bitterness put me off and the peat didn't really enthuse. I'd prolly give it a C+/B-. My holy grail was obtained when I reached the Benromach 15. Excellent review...I'm trying to put the word out on the wire. Keep on keepin' on.

I think this is perfect example of average, middle of the road, mediocre whisk(e)y. Problem is, it costs above that, not much, but still. I would go Highland Park 10 or even Glenfiddich Fire and Cane if I want fruity and slightly smokey whisk(e)y. P.S. Idea for the video - maybe you can do comparison on 10yo representations of some bigger distillers.
