That Gran Canaria is the island that gives its name to the Archipelago and even so sometimes they say "Gran Canarias" that whoever is from the island will look at you with a WTF face, because it is difficult even for us to say it with the "s" at the end . Originally the island of Gran Canaria was simply called Isla de Canaria and to the set of islands "Islas de Canaria" an "s" was added to "isla" ="Islas" [ "s" to "island" = Islands] It took the Castilians 5 years and 5 battles to take over the island, and it cost many Castilian cheers, for this reason they would add the "Gran" to the Canarian Nobles to the inhabitants of the island of Canaria, the inhabitants being the Gran Canarios [Gentilic ] and the island would carry the Gran in front of Canaria, remaining as the island of Gran Canaria. But hey, Tenerife has the Teide that explodes when tourists are there, well... And then Gran Canaria is for people who like the rural and the city, the beach and the mountains, sports or walks, history and music. However, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the City that everyone says is the closest thing to a great European city, and is currently the leading tourist city. PD: Good Video 💛💙🐕
