Benromach Heritage Tasting 10, 15, 21, 35, 40 year.

Now I'm jealous! Benromach is probably my favourite, just wish they bumped up the 10, 15 and 21 to 46%. The Cask Strength 2012 batch 01 was my favourite whisky from last year, absolute masterpiece. Thank you for sharing these experiences!

@@WhiskyMystery yeah, the 21 is obvious. And it’s not an entry bottling, it’s expensive, it would sell much better with a 46-48% ABV

Benromach Cara Gold Malt from their Contrasts series is a favourite of mine. Bourbon cask matured 46%, delicious whisky. It will be hard to find now. Retailers are running out of stock.

That shop is well stocked compared to my visit last summer! Would've taken that distillery exclusive in a heartbeat as well. I did the contrast tour myself and was also very pleasantly surprised by the Organic. Lovely sweetness with enough interest woven through. The batch strength took the throne though. Like many others say, it is still one of the better Benromach, especially when value is taken in the equation. Opening my 15 soon, hopefully I'll like it as much as you did Phil.

The contrast series and the CS bottlings is where it’s at with Benromach. Shame the core range is bottled at 43%😞. Great tasting video 👍. Slàinte to you both.

Great video and a fantastic Tasting 🙂 The Distillery Only looks good. All in all Benromach is not my first choice of whisky but it is nice watching you while tasting the full range. Whats your next stop?

Wow, thank you so much for your video! I googled for the Heritage Experience just after getting an email of the distillery confirming booking, I am so excited! Where did you end up eating? I am taking a look at The Bonnie Bestie and hopefully beach afterwards, do you have sightseeing recommendations in the area, I think we'll spend the afternoon there.

I hadn't planned on having a side of jealous rage with my organic italian coffee and two slices of jammy toast for breakfast but here we are.😅 EDIT: I've the opportunity to buy the 35 locally in the Bay Area for $800 US. I only considered it in idle fashion/fancy. Good to have a summary review for something like that.

Thanks for sharing....I did had the chance to try the 50 yo (but not the 40 yo) & it was surprisingly not oaky, and beautifully fruity (but that one was bottled at 43 % if I remember well & not sherried). the 10 yo remains a great reference imho....Cheers !
