Great video, thank you. I am actually have Type II watch original from 1976. And today I'm heading to Phoenix Arizona right now so already planned to visit their store in Scottsdale AZ.

That’s Legit. I don’t think that $1695 is that bad of a price for the Real Deal. Great review man.
@watchesandcaps25663 жыл бұрын
You're smoking heavy crack rocks then. This watch is atleast twice the price it should be. Aluminum bezel watch with one blasted finish the whole case over, nylon strap, off the shelf movement that comes in a zip pouch? This watch is a straight up joke.
@tezuka5263 жыл бұрын
Instead of limited they should make it a permanent addition to there catalogue. It would bring the price down and every tool watch/military watch fan out there would buy one.

Value ... 500 dollars max and I'm generous !! :) even if it is a "limited edition"

My paternal grandfather was a bigtime collector from the 40’s until the 00’s and he was really into Benrus. My dad ended up with a few truly mint examples of this one when he passed. I’m an only son..so 🤞🏼. That sounds bad...I mean hopefully they end up with me in the very distant future. I might have to save some coin for this one though in the meantime...totally my flavor lately. Great review man, got my wristicles itching...😬

Just received the type II limited and wow wow wow! Have both this and the DTU 2AP now and both are so impressive. Leaves nothing to be desired except may fixed lug bars, but that is ok as long as the spring bars are of highest quality and strength

Would not spend more than $600 for this watch. As 'special and unique' this might be. Nothing really special apart from using a known model (no design and r&d work), no finishing what so ever, could bot be more spartiate, they don't even have the courtesy to propose a bracelet at that price... Just trying to surf on a 'military vintage' vibe, ok but really too expensive for what it is. Steinhart don't pass the $600,have eta mouvements are assembled in Germany and have better finishing...
@dinner_workingsly3 жыл бұрын
As much as I disagree...I kinda totally agree, this has to be 100% what you are after to be lulled past the cost of entry. I’m about 90% there at the moment.

Made in Arizona? Maybe they're going with Fine Timepiece Solutions. Many other US brands use them for casing and assembly.

Really lovely looking watch. Would prefer a matt bezel though. And it's pricey for a watch with zero branding of any kind.

wow I forgot that this was 15mm thick, and I can hardly believe the number. It seems to wear more like my BB58, maybe thinner. Amazing what a bubble back, thin mid-case and a highly contoured lugs and bezel can to do make thickness disappear into nothing.

Should be mass produced instead of a limited edition of 1000. I haven't thought of Benrus in ages though I do have one of ther 1970s military watches.

Nice video. Really nice watch. Unfortunately, those of us who work for a living will never have one. It seems 2X the price it really needs to be. $2200 Canadian and duty...just shy of $2500? That is a Nope.

The current version from Benrus has Old Glory on the back with some other information, but not the original style markings. Does that matter? I’d prefer a choice. At least you can still buy one. Unlike MkII and Tornek-Rayville watches. 😂

I love this watch but a huge mistake that it has a ghost date position that is not Milspec to me. Maybe the should have taken a Selita or even better the STP 1-11 That is own by american Tom Kartsotis Group, Inc. without date on a non date dial.

How do you remove the case back? Also, go buy a MKII if you think the price is too high. Those are $900 USD if you can ever get one, and they’re made overseas. If you don’t want to buy it then don’t. Don’t complain about your unwillingness to buy a watch.
@KarmaFlight3 жыл бұрын
I think you have use a rubber ball and simply unscrew it via contact pressure.
@Illsamustache2 жыл бұрын
These too are made overseas. And just like MKII, assembled in the US. The only difference is a Seiko 6R15 vs an ETA 2xxx. I’ll take the MKII and save about $1k. It’s just as good.
@kenspear50773 жыл бұрын
Seems a little pricey but that could be partly explained by being assembled in Arizona. Real wages need to be paid to make this one.

I like the watch and the history behind it. But Benrus is clearly cashing in as this watch seems priced too high. But many watches are priced too high for what you get. It’s about the brand name and heritage.
