If Redmi adds NFC, fixes the audio, adds image stabilization on the front camera and allows for 4K/60 stabilized video on both the front and back camera, then the Redmi Note will become a very good phone. Maybe they'll do this for the Redmi Note 10 series, who knows.

For someone like me who has two "real" cameras, the premium for a high-end phone partly due to better camera is just not worth it, it just has to be "good enough" when I don't have a camera with me. This one is perfect in that regard. Personally, I'd be more interested to pay 50$ more for an Oled screen. I think the SOC is perfect for the price tag, 720g is really good.

Great review on the Note 9S. Those bugs you mentioned worry me a little bit. I hope the update fixed them so far. What's also worrying: Wifi! Some user complain about the connection or to be more precise, the stability of the connection.

I think that bug is present in every MIUI 11 Xiaomi devices, I encountered it a lot of times in my RedmiNote7 (maybe 5 times in its 8 months of existence) and there is one time I had to bring my unit to a technician to reflash my OS because I can't open my screen even if its still working fine underneath. So far I am still positive for the brand for what it is worth, premium build quality and superb hardware. There will be a gcam port for the 9s soon and it will surely unlock its potential, thanks for the review!

Google camera just improves HDR a bit, nothing more. It doesnt transform an average camera (like the redmi's one) into a top camera or anything like that
