I like that you don't have to do side loading to get Google gmail and other Google apps. Thank you for mentioning that the pro model has an image stabilizer built in for us creators. Non-curved screen is much easier to apply an actual glass screen protector and feels a lot nicer, have a Mate 20 X @ 7.2in - really like this Vivo X Note too

The Vivo X Note seems to have rather serious screen flickering that may cause eye strain. Huawei has flicker reduction mode to avoid the use of PWM.

But lost me at 'no builtin gimbal' as I use my phone to make YT vids (which is why I love the Vivo X50 pro +great in low light). 2 questions: Will the gimbal be back on the upcoming Vivo X or X80 Pro+ (and are they the same phone?). Last question: I wanted to upgrade to the Vivo X60 Pro+ for its gimbal on the wideangle (and smaller size vs X70 Pro+) but cannot get it here in Bangkok! Could I order either Vivo X60 Pro+ or upcoming X or X80 Pro+ from Trinity and how? Cheers STL

Vivo has always been my favorite because of it's unique traits, like camera features. Unfortunately, in North America, they have some problems with online voice or video call services (may be because of their network capacity or OS, I'm not sure). Most of the time, my incoming whatsapp and messenger calls are either delayed, or rings without notifications. I can see incoming call on my Pixel phone where Vivo picks nothing (both same account). Also, sometimes the email sending and receiving is delayed - I received one email after 28 hours of being sent, lol. Only if Vivo never had these problems, it would be the best daily driver for me.

There is flicker reduction on Huawei phones to reduce eye strain, especially for people who are sensitive to PWM which may lead to migraines. It seems that Vivo doesn't have the feature.

Same. And though 7 inches, the X note isn't the worthy replacement I was waiting for. 1, screen isn't THAT big, owing to ratio. More or less similar to all those products shaped like remote controls that spawned in 2021, and it's a scourge; and 2, battery isn't worth the phone. 5000 mAh to power that resolution and specs, battery life will be inferior to Mate 20 X. There's nothing that can replace this phone atm STILL. Shame.

I don't get the rationale for this phone, it's not really a 22 ultra alternative as it doesn't have something like an s pen.. and vivo x80 pro plus is also close in terms of screen size.. if the x80 pro plus were smaller than 6.8" (like x50/60 pro+) this phone would have made more sense for display size maniacs
