love recumbent trike, years saving now is gone but thank you so much showing my dream back

love how you guys show about 2 mins of the most exciting bike, the Spyder, no speed shots, no fit badass rider taking it through its paces....what an exciting program, Top Gear would be impressed.

Hey Whatdoyoudo! I guess this is what happens when you watch a two year old video from when the Spyder was still a prototype. Here's Whatyoushoulddo: Watch our recent review featuring certified bad ass Larry Barney on both versions of the now in production Spyder😁

I hosted a racing demo with Easystreet Recumbent at Circuit of the America's formula one race track. Road tested the Bacchetta CT2.0, Black ICE VTX and the Catrike 700.

Actually, those of us with broken backs use recumbent trikes for what they were originally made for in the first place! The rest just use them as an alternative to regular bikes. It’s not until one experiences the recumbent trike because it’s the only option, that one really appreciates why they were made some 30 odd years ago. God bless the physiotherapist who made the first one for his patient who could no longer ride uprights!

Hey Gary, I was playing around with some editing programs (WeVideo and DaVinci--boy the latter has a lot of features for being free, but is a bit complex) on our new PC, but this came up. Thanks for sidetracking me! I like the GTS...cool trike. Of course now I have to watch the other one you just posted as well...

Ha! Editing just is complex, Greg. Your studying and hard work will payoff eventually and it does get easier 😊 Thanks for taking time out to watch!

Recumbent Trike Review Black ICE VTX was my favorite to ride. It has the best seat (large fiberglass seat), provided the best comfort, best in balance on turning tight, recline angle was perfect, seating dimension was the best, reclining angle was perfect, and better balance than the Catrike 700 or CT2.0. I didn't like the gearing (rear cassette 11 speed) on climbing. It was my least favorite and loved the CT2.0 because Bacchetta made it feel effortlessly because it had the best drive train. I felt the best comfort and maintaining a high rate of speed. I would add an arm rest and upgrade the rear cassette to allow better climbing. The Black ICE VTX is wider than the CT2.0 but about the same with the Catrike 700. Bacchetta CT2.0 seat was very comfortable but narrow from the lumbar to cervical spine. I would recommend a little wider (2 - 2 1/2 inches). I would prefer the seat a little more reclined. I felt pressure and discomfort in the cervical & thoracic area. I would recommend arm rest to help me stabilize my shoulder, and weakness in my arm/hands to help me control or steer. Someone with balance issues will tend to sway either left or right to maneuver while riding. Michael Lage did not have these issues while test riding the CT2.0 but I did. He recommends the same issues that I addresed with the seat not being wide enough. The CT2.0 frame design felt better than the Catrike 700 but the seat angle cannot be adjusted just like the Catrike 700. The Catrike 700 frame tends to cause pressure, discomfort and pain but CT2.0 frame design doesn't. The CT2.0 has the best drive train to ride the fastest, climb the fastest going up, best at going down hill fast, and maintain a higher speed with less effort. The CT2.0 is the lightest, fastest, and has the best drive train I have ever ridden. The ICE VTX is second best but more comfort. Catrike 700 (through Axe), seat cushion was better than my Catrike 700 2017 version, it felt the best at turning at short turns, it comes with an arm rest but needs to be extend a little more due to my impairments in my shoulders/neck/arm/hands. I can recline the best with the Catrike 700 and I feel more rested on the shoulder, neck, and upper back. The Catrike feels more heavy than the Black ICE and CT2.0. I would remove the rear parking brake and install the parking lever instead on the brakes. I would also remove the mirror bar and use the Ultra Light Bike Mirror to scale down on weight. The Catrike 700 has carbon-fiber cranks with 11 speed gearing. I would change out the head/neck rest and install the one that I make with lighter materials. Keep in mind that all of these recumbent trikes can be modified to fit your preferences. Some may not work due to fix frame design but all can be adapt to fit your needs. Reach out to Easystreet Recumbents in Austin, TX, or Pedal Guerrero in San Antonio, TX. Pedal Guerrero has handcycles, and sports wheelchairs to include recumbent trikes.

Can't wait for the spyder to come out. Also, I'm so happy that Wiz Wheels purchased Greenspeed and Ian's legacy will live on.
