See Phil. 2:5 (NIV) In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus 2:5 study notes: Jesus Christ was humble, willing to give up his rights in order to obey God and serve people. Like Christ, we should have a servant’s attitude, serving out of love for God and for others, not out of guilt or fear. Remember, you can choose your attitude: You can approach life expecting to be served, or you can look for opportunities to serve others. I lost my earthly father June 1st 2023. I sat by his bedside for twelve days with my sister and step mother in the icu. I have been living for months with anger, resentment and bitterness towards my stepmother for not taking care of him and allowing him to get that sick. I have been praying for months for God to remove the bitterness from me, for me to forgive her. As I watched this sermon this morning, God freed me from the heartbreak and anger. It depends on whether the open arms they have go against what the bible teaches..if youre looking for a place where you don't feel judged..that sounds to me like you're looking for a place where they say your sin is ok and if thats the case..believe me..this church isn't doing you any favors .. the truth is that sin leads to death..why wouldn't you want to know that? God told the woman who committed adultery..go and sin no more. In other words..come as a sinner but don't leave as one. The entire book of Jeremiah was about teachers who taught peace and prosperity and put Jeremiah in jail for teaching truth and warning them that what they were really worshipping was their idols i.e. their own sin..and when they started actually facing the judgement from God that Jeremiah had warned them was coming, they pleaded with Jeremiah because of that close relationship, in an attempt to bail them out.. "give us some of your oil!!" Their question was still how do I get out of trouble..not how do I repair my relationship so I can be reconciled with God.. have you even read the Bible to understand why you might feel judged? Maybe thats the warning system that goes off before you actually are.. havent you read the part about how in the last days there will be people who look for teaching that allows them to live in sin..itching ears.. why would you want to stay in a church that doesn't hold up that mirror.. if you feel judged id say thats the holy spirit elbow jamming you and I dont know if you've read the Bible (not the one they give you thats been changed to accommodate your sin i.e. the message bible) but when youre in a church that TRULY loves you theyre going to give you truth despite how inconvenient that might be because they don't want you to face the consequence of your choice. THATS love. Feeling judged is a healthy feeling.. it makes us question ourselves. It keeps us humble, contrite and checking ourselves to make sure we are honoring the spirit. The peace you get on the other side of turning from what you currently feel "judged" on far surpasses any gratification you get from the sins you want your church to not say anything about.. its like going to a doctor and not wanting him to tell you you have a sickness that'll lead to death if not tended to. Makes no sense. You're seeking a church that's ok with your sin.. youre looking for people approval when you should be seeking God's..

I received Jesus. My name is Christopher Gholston in oak ridge Tennessee. Thank you guys for such powerful messages daily. This will be become my favorite for sure cuz I am an athlete. I've recently just put everything to the side and really focused on the Lord Father God working three jobs. It's crazy but the love I was getting from all three jobs wasn't the amount of love that I am getting now towards one job and giving those other two jobs to God putting in overtime . Hopefully I've started this path August 24th 2023 which is only been a few days but I am hoping for prayer to have more faith in the Lord more and more times a hundredfold

@@elevationchurch this message this morning changed my life. I woke up later than expected as I wanted to attend church in my hometown. But God had different plans for me. I sat down on my couch and I have listened to your sermons before and I love your preaching. However, this morning GOD called me here to get in my knees. This message touched my heart so much and I can identify myself with so many lessons on this passage. God is amazing and I know I can now let go and let God move in my life show me my purpose through my pain and will free me from all bandage, bitterness and blame and restore what Satan came to destroy in my life. I have no doubt in my mind at all as of now that all I have to do is obey and get on my knees which is what I did this morning and give my life back to God and let him work in my heart and everything that was meant for me and given to me from God that was temporarily placed on hold to open my eyes to my pain for purpose in life is coming together as we speak. I don't have to see it to believe it but KNOW WITH MY FAITH IN MY FATHER GOD IT IS ALREADY DONE! THANK YOU!

I been struggling the last couple days, trying to heal from surgery and I felt I was getting better and last couple days I felt a set back. It is that way with my life in every aspect..always no matter how much I pray, how good iam, how much I love. I dont understand at times but I'm never given up on jesus or my faith. But it still hurts and I get sad , cry , get depressed. So I always remind myself I have God. And I pray pray pray. Please dear lord heal my broken body...and Thank you jesus for all the good you have given me. Amen
