Cell Phone Service: Bell, Telus, Koodo & Virgin Mobile - cell service at the south end of the park is non existent. At the north end it's spotty at best. Very unreliable. If you've been to this park please let us know your experience with cell service, especially if your with a service provider different from the ones mentioned.

Love how dog friendly it is. I wish more parks made it easier for us who travel with our dogs. Its especially hard when you travel solo with your pet. Beau and I are looking forward to checking this one out some day.

We love Point Pelee! Great review. I know the weather prevented you seeing some of the trails, but the DeLaurier trail is sooooo beautiful. Short but spectacular. Enjoy!

Great review of Point Pelee National Park. My daughter was speaking of this park earlier today so I did a little research and discovered your video. I think this park now has to be on our bucket list of places to explore. We started a new YT Channel, Cooze Adventures, last summer while on vacation in Portugal so Point Pelee will be a great place to recreate some new content for our new channel. BTW, I just subscribed to your channel. I bit you have lots more videos on your channel to serve as inspiration for new videos from us going forward. Happy Adventures and happy you-tubing!

On your next visit, I highly recommend canoeing the marsh trail, it opens up to a beautiful clearing right next to a beach that separates the marsh from lake Erie. Excellent fishing in there as well!

Great video. Love the details you put into it like the map of trails. Hilarious regarding loo review. Ha ha. Just curious about the parts where it looked like a drone view. I just thought drones weren’t allowed. Or was that you used an Insta 360°?
@CampingwiththeColes
@CampingwiththeColes 3 ай бұрын
@@iFoxyGN thanks for watching. Good guess on the "drone view" shots; I was using the Insta360 X3 with a 10 foot selfy stick for that. Drones are definitely not permitted in National or Provincial Parks.

Excellent Video! A must see! You all look so happy, even in the rain! I am amazed at your photography! How did you film the back of the trolly while it was moving as well as while you were sitting on the trolly hands free? Very ingenious! Thanks guys!

Last fall I bought a new camera that can do some pretty amazing shots. It's an Insta360 X3 and I put it on a 10 foot selfie stick. It records every direction and even erases the selfie stick from the video.

I love Point Pelee and go there often throughout the year ❤. I was able to go up the Tower when it had first opened and the view from the top is spectacular and you’ll definitely have to return to camp when it opens again. There is always an art event in the fall called Art At The oTENTiks where artists from all over stay at the cabins and display their work. Each cabin has a different artist and I have talked to my daughter about her interest in joining it one year for her artwork. The cabins are lovely to stay in (I have yet to camp but have friends who have and they loved it). Three of the cabins have wood stoves for heat and the fuel wood is supplied by the Park and included with the cost of the cabin stay. I have had their annual Blue Pass for several years because we go so often. There’s a separate automated gate for Blue Pass holders and you get to feel like a VIP and bypass the Front Gate lineup which is handy on busy weekends 😁. So happy to see you folks enjoyed it at Pelee and can’t wait to watch your Inverhuron video as the Lake Huron and Lake Erie Parks are on my camping list for this summer and fall 🥰⛺️.

Very well done . I lived at the point for 8 years as my father was park superintendent there from 74 to 82. The park was full of private cottages back then( about 200) and my father was tasked with negotiating with the owners to buy the properties and tear them down . By the time we left in 82 they were all gone . Used to live by the old graveyard . There was a tennis court and a large house there then . After 4 years it was torn down and we moved to a house near the park gate next to a small lookout on the marsh . It is gone now too along with the park admin building . Not my favorite park I lived in that title goes to Cape Breton Highlands .

The Otentiks are lovely, although we found the mattresses insufficient. If we go back again, we'll bring our 3" foam. We were there in December of 2021 during a ferocious storm, and the canvas was rock solid. The little gas fireplace kept us toasty. Very romantic setting for our 41st anniversary.

Was there staying at one of the OTentniks late last summer, I think around Sept. 15th or so. Might have even been the one you photographed. I was on Pele Island as well. The sand flies chased me down the east beach, I couldn't reach the tip from it, was blocked by a fallen tree. The beach opposite Camp Henry was a great place to set up a telescope. I was there during the day about 2 years earlier It's worth the trip to the island if you have a couple of days in the area.

I was there on Good Friday this year (2024) and at that time the western shore was rough and the east shore was calm. I think it just varies on the prevailing winds. The leeward side of the peninsula will be calm, just the like leeward side of an island in rough weather.

A friend gave us that. It's a little plate, cell phone holder that fits in the cup holder of the console. It's similar to this one from Amazon www.amazon.ca/FUNOMOCYA-Holder-Dinner-Vehicle-Adjustable/dp/B0CL11CKK9/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.POFuTuzbBzgFGIFbg1CyyFqhtJIt6bKpLjude8hD6xA-Ry0CWFPBPWNk7cp6U6UmjH_Z2TZ8OsSZ2KlkpOPGZhbKnF7p9b8ZH-gfeg_U85kCe0D6gdAsVm5c9M9ZDoDPkLFmb8WDW0uKI0eonSaQmhjI7Bu3YHiUjUXYxCaUhdV6R0m5X09G36xnFOlOl77yJM71g43fdryX6nrqRt-iqQ.kr1zRj2GhrFDzYN9aCWin-ani6RdL5nFngChIIhdDrU&dib_tag=se&keywords=plate+cup+holder+for+vehicle&qid=1716058082&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

I live right outside the park. I love it. But, I can see the Rogers tower from my place and the service still sucks. Lots of people around here complain. So, I got an Ooma phone for my house. Let me know the next time you are coming so I can fan girl on you, lol. PS - Which area of MacGregor Point would be most quiet ? I don't need electricity, comfort station, water - nothing, just QUIET.
@CampingwiththeColes
@CampingwiththeColes 5 ай бұрын
Interesting. I've never heard of an Ooma phone. I'll have to check that out. For MacGregor Point I would think that Huron Campground would be the quietest. We've never camped in that campground but I know it's radio free and generator free. Algonquin Campground is definitely the busiest of the three. Happy camping!

( or mandatory to take the Shuttle? ).....what 'season or month Would Pelee recommend for Bird watching? also..is there a Point Pelee 'Winery' down there?? ..to purchase bottles of Pelee Wine? Anyway Cheers Great Video!!! Love it ..that it's Pet friendly! On my Bucket list!!

We don't have a National Park Pass so we had to pay the day use which was $17.50 for the two of us. I recommend packing your own lunch. There are plenty of picnic tables to use at pretty much every location if interest in the park. You can purchase food at the Pelee Wings Nature Store. The park is open daily 5am to 10pm. Any type of bicycle or scooter is permitted is permitted and you can ride them to the tip. We saw a couple on recumbent e-bikes riding up to the tip. For birding I would say that May is probably the best month. It's very popular for spring and fall migration.
