Love how your reviews are so detailed, not only for the campground but for the surrounding area. Be careful for the ticks when walking off the path, as the area is known to have ticks. Good luck on your trip to Superior Lake, we have been there many times and look forward to your reviews.

Thanks for the support. Lake Erie parks are well know for the ticks. We probably should have mentioned it. We only briefly showed the tick sign at the entrance to the hiking trail.

I have a cottage right across the road and also worked there in the late 70s. It has been a Provincial Park since the 60s when the province bought it from a farmer. It has been privately run but it has always been a provincial park, never a conservation area. The beach changes every year and it is Stoney to enter but there is sand when you get out to about your knees. The dog beach is the best beach.

Beautiful photo capture of the Yellow Warbler. ❤️ Where did Cheryl get her “Outdoorsy” T Shirt. I think I need one because of my channel name. 😉 Those snakes freaked me out. I once had one chase me in the water at Balsam Lake. 😱 Great tips! Thanks! 🙂👍🏻

I think 6.5 is very generous, we’re presently doing a east coast trip I think Ontario parks could learn a lot from national parks. Most have hydro, water and sewer. If they run hydro line they could at least run water alongside that would alleviate the long lineups at the dumping station. Nothing like going home with a dirty tank.

OMyGod! Cheryl knows people that we can't see LOL! Beautiful and informative video on a park that we have lots of memories associated with. We had a Group camping in one of the three huge lots here in 2015 or so. My husband got two light warnings by the rangers here. One on driving too fast and raising a dust cloud while we were driving only at 20 km and second in the evening when we were playing games before sleeping and were being loud. My husband tells me that Ontario has lots of provincial parks on Canadian side of the lakes in order to provide first/last stop to the birds migrating in/out from/to the other side in May/early June and then in late September/October. He identified the yellow bird as yellow warbler. Looking forward to your BIG TRIP.
@CampingwiththeColes2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you have good memories from their. Thanks for identifying the yellow warbler. Their were so many birds but I couldn't get them on video because they were too fast for me. I got a Robin though (how boring).

@CampingwiththeColes2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for thinking of us when considering a park. This is the first we've ever heard of Warsaw Caves Conservation Area. I just briefly checked out their website and I see that all their sites are non-electric. We don't do a lot of non-electric sites unless it's such a beautiful place that we'll forgo the electricity like Bruce Peninsula National Park. We're spoiled now.😊

Great review as usual. Selkirk good for a weekend or short stay. Selkirk used to have monthly seasonal but that stopped last year or the year before and it always closed Labour Day Weekend. It's open this year until Thanksgiving. PS ....that little trailer in the video I am pretty sure was a Trillium and not a Scamp lol.

Just a request/suggestion: when you are doing the BIG Trip please consider making a separate stand alone video on the entire trip, showing not only the beauty of the landscape but also advising on for example, what should RV drivers consider while undertaking such a beautiful but energy and logistics taxing trip.
@CampingwiththeColes2 жыл бұрын
That's a great suggestion. It sure is different to plan than a single weekend trip.

A question for the Coles. What do you mean when you say a campsite is Radio Free? No music? Let me know. Thx. I am a newbie rv'r. Andre
@CampingwiththeColes Жыл бұрын
Good question. Radio free means you can't have any outside electronic noise such as radios, bluetooth speakers etc or TVs. You can have those things on inside your trailer but not outside with external speakers. No electronic noise should be heard outside. If you're tenting you can't have anything on at all.
@Daveluvsoutside2 жыл бұрын
I have a strange question, how come you put the filter for the water hose on the actual tap rather than putting the filter at the trailer so you can filter the rubber taste of the hose? Has that just never been an issue? I really really enjoy your videos. I’m hoping my wife and I can do that some day. Always look forward to your videos. Thanks so Much.
@CampingwiththeColes2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I guess my thought is that I would prefer filtered water going through the entire system including the hose. I guess the other view is that you put it on after the hose and any contamination that might be in the hose would be filtered out. As for a rubber taste, we've never noticed that. I think if there was a rubber taste then the wrong type of hose is being used. I can see a garden hose giving a rubber taste but an RV water hose shouldn't.

Hi as newbys we are wondering about your in-line water filter. Can you share the type and your experience with it? Thanks
@CampingwiththeColes2 жыл бұрын
Sure thing! In most of our videos we put links in the video description for items we show in the video. Here is the amazon link for the Camco water filter that we use amzn.to/3GkGGHp We always use it when filling up our trailer fresh water tank unless the potable water hose isn't threaded, but most are. That way we keep our fresh water tank nice and clean. When at a park with water hookups at the site we put on a water pressure regulator on the faucet to ensure there isn't too much water pressure that may damage our plumbing. You can see me attaching it to the filter in the video. Here is the link to that amzn.to/3PKxdNQ We've been very happy with the filter. In general provincial parks have good water but if you go to private parks you never know what you're going to get. We always use it to be safe. One filter lasts us the entire season.

Question, do they allow campers to go in the non electric sites or is it only for tents?
@CampingwiththeColes2 жыл бұрын
It's no problem having an RV on a non electric site.
@ProdigiousReturn2 жыл бұрын
Just respect the generator rules if you do decide to stay in a rv in non electrical. Been camping for decades and last year I was appalled by the noise and lack of respect for generator hours - this in radio free non electrical areas too. I am thankful for the newly introduced generator free ares this year.
@jimandsandraallison52012 жыл бұрын
I think the non-electric sites are nice then the electric. lol Keep in mind that you don't need to fill up as you have water to each site. The water doesn't drain well because it's on clay.

Yes, the non-electric sites were really nice. Good point on the fill up. You'd only have to do it if you had a non-electric site and therefore no water hookup.

Totally ruined trip BUT I went back a few years later and it redeemed itself. I'll visit again this summer.
