Bentley Batur - £1.65m, 740bhp: Driving The Most Powerful Production Bentley Ever | Top Gear

The Batur is the most powerful and most expensive production Bentley ever. It’s not a new Continental, but does draw the eye towards what future Bentley product will look like - with particular reference to the era of incoming electric Bentleys. But under the bodywork there’s a Continental W12 Speed, albeit with a few… tweaks.
You see, it’s technically a Bentley Batur by Mulliner, throwing back to Bentley’s long history of bespoke coachbuilding - and that means very exclusive low-volume bodywork and more individualisation than most of us will know what to do with.
Interested? Tough luck. All Baturs have already been sold, but Top Gear Magazine’s Tom Ford was lucky enough to drive one.

Love this Bentley. In fact it’s my favorite one right now. Love the look of it. Inside and out. I love how they did sharpen the lines. I always felt it was too conservative before. This one is a beast! Like the dark purple version too. I read they are all sold out already. 😢

As a BMW owner - I'm really happy Bentley isn't copying the latest "efforts" (ugly is the new beautiful) of the Bavarian company. This B (in contrast to mostly everything coming from the Bavarian B, even the last G60 5 series launched just over a month ago) - IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS to look at. This should be shown to the CEO of BMW - Oliver Zipse - every time he utters words like "modern cars need to ugly" (his actual words) to the media. Here you are, a modern and jaw-droppingly beautiful car. By the way.. I've also got an old audi - I'm so proud as to where it's grown :D :D Thanks for the video, greetings from Latvia.

im convinced that the vw group have held back the power of the 4.0 audi v8 and the 6.0 w12 for the last decade. the power on these engines has barely increased, the 4.0 v8 went from 560hp to 600hp meanwhile the w12 has grown from 610 to 650. i think we all know those engines had so much more potential but they never let them run loose.

People who say "that interior doesn't look like 2 million car" etc...sorry I think you're missing the point. Unless you expect to see 24 carat gold and jewels in there, you're not going to get that. This car is about bragging rights. Bespoke. Hand crafting. Uniqueness. Exclusivity. Personally, I think it's fabolous. Not just for what it is or how it looks, but what it still means for British motoring. That we still do this stuff, that it's a bit batsh!t and crazy and eccentric, but we do it and we celebrate craftmanship as we do so. Bravo Bentley.

I’ve always thought the Bentley lotta little pretentious and stogie. This is a beautiful and remarkable designed vehicle and you presented it in the best light possible. And just like a lot of things, it’s how you browned it and package it and then you get to charge more for it.
