Well it is not wholly hand made. A lot of computer and automation also involved. Partly handmade would be more precise. A birkin bag would be example of purely hand made.

So I bought a Jeep GC with leather a few weeks ago. This got me interested in knowing how leather seats are made. Of course Jeep isn’t this meticulous. From the video what do the markings on the leather mean? I think they are flaws in the leather.

Leather as you know comes from cattle. They live outdoors and during their lives, they get scratches and bites. In the leather trim shop, the employee tasked with the job knows what marks are allowed and which are not, and marks them up with chalk. When the panels are cut from the hide, they avoid those areas with the markings. It causes more waste but the seats end up with a more perfect appearance. In reality, therre is nothing wrong with a few scars/scratches are that is a natural part of the hide.

Hat da das Qualitätsmanagement geschlafen? Bei Reifen gehört der Aufkleber auf der Lauffläche entfernt. Das ist eine Sicherheitsmangel. Bei VW nimmt man es halt nicht so genau. Ansonsten ein toller , überteuerter VW Schlitten, wenn man sich das leisten kann. Für das Geld bekommt man auch ein Auto das nicht aus einem Baukasten kommt.

Some of those veneers cost upweards of £60 per square metre, 0.06mm thick, in its raw state before any work has started to make the interior. The way vebeers are "[peeled" from the logs give it the varied appearance that cutting it in solid form would never, it would just turn out plain as building lumber.
