This is why Carmine is one of the best.. He was doing this business before 1968.. Carnine was one of the pioneers of the prot-metal genre, and is a hero of mine!! Love you Carmine!! May you live to be a very old man, and still be able to play with excellence!!

Used to have the video this is taken from, watched it so many times the tape started to deteriorate badly. He described how to play and develop his 'falling rocks', how to play 7/8 and 9/8, it was full of good rock stuff.

@gordon9177 - like I give a shit what you think, numbnuts. The video was made in the 80s, I bought it in the 80s and played it to death in the 80s. What is there to disbelieve about that? W⚓️.

Love his playing, but why his left or 2th bass drumm is so far away from his left foot, that would makes the hi hat even more far away. Never understood that one.

Exactly. Decent drummer but nothing special. Vinny is much better. And yes, he starts crap with everyone. Talks trash about everyone which boils down to simple jealousy.

Where did he stir up drama? Not the John Bonham stories, surely? They're very tame, but from what I can see it's the weirdly fanatical contingent of Bonham uber-fans that tend to fly off the handle at any sort of hint he might taken influence from earlier drummers/albums, or that anyone might have been doing similar things at the time. They're an ignorant cancer on the drumming community. Carmine does have an ego, but the guy is pretty harmless and it's not like he's lying about being a friend and influence on John, helping him get his first ludwig deal, etc.... As far as the solo, 90% of 70s hard rock drummers were very hit and miss soloists.

@@Loskov-my3xw Carmine is usually full of sh*t. He whines and cries bands don't ask him back. He did an interview regarding playing for Rod Stewart. He pissed and moaned he wasn't called back to play the next tour and how much he lost over it. He's just a sad old man thinking everyone owes him something.
