Ok, Randy, I thought I had seen it all in person or through your lens, but this was beautiful beyond any humble words I can muster. Unsurprisingly, this fantastic land resides in Utah with all its grand natural sculptures. I have long admired the progression of your camera work over the years. I believe the "driving over the camera with your vehicle" was a first (?) and an amazing shot. Adding to the rugged terrain feel. So good. The effort you make to capture and piece together the shots is a lot of extra work and time but boy is it effective and appreciated! Much love and as always can't wait for the next video.

Wow, that's really colorful Randy. I've driven through Hanksville but never knew that existed. I imagine either an ATV or 4WD SUV is required? How far from the asphalt road to your destination?
@AmericasParks

It really depends on the current road condition. If all is good, a conventional car can make the trip. The hills start only a mile or so up the road.

Hey Randy, Awesome Drone Footage. I am actually headed to Capitol Reef National Park next weekend. I was thinking of driving to the Bentonite Hills but alittle hesitant that my rental can get stuck there lol. Is this an ATV tour that takes you there? Maybe that would be a better option for me
@AmericasParks

We rented the ATV in Hanksville and drove out ourselves." Hanksville Tours Adventure Center." Super easy as the Bentonite Hills are less than a mile down Cathedral Road. I saw some conventional cars out there. If the conditions are fine, I think you could made it it the first set of Hills.

Plan to be at Capitol Reef NP in Oct. Is drone allowed at Cathedral Valley? Looking at the Official NP map, it seems the lower part to be just outside the east side of the park.
@AmericasParks
@AmericasParks 2 ай бұрын
Not sure of the specific area, but if you have a park map, you can usually see where the NP boundary is. As long as you are outside that "line" you are (often) good to go.
