What joyous memories. Before the endless procession of those 66,s and bloody voyagers. Lovely.

Always nice to see these places again without all the clutter in the film you get with electrification..glad I got a fair bit there myself.was sat on the bench there 2015 looking up watching the kites and bits of aircraft thinking what a lovely big sky soon to be lost.

Great memories- sad to see the place covered in spaghetti these days and just a couple of sheds on the sp- but still exciting when a freight flies round the avoider and opens up on full bore:-))

The Ferrywagons you refer to,I’m afraid I can’t tell you, usually steel products, but that’s just a guess,it’s quite a few years ago now,If I can definitely tell you ,I will get back to you ,thanks ,regards.

i remember that one well. When i drove it it sounded just the same, these locos were long out of works and Acton crews thrashed them into the ground on the Forders bins twice a day, and the loaded bins were around 1400 tons! No wonder they blew up, quite a few ground to a halt outside the local fire station on the approach to Bedford and had to be rescued from there! Happy days.....
