Comparing the Mercedes-Benz GLS580 and GLS63. Which one should you choose?

Just got our 2021 GLS 580 on January 8. MSRP $126,150. Same color inside and out as yours except we got 7 seat with Executive Package Plus, E-Active Body Control, Off Road Package every option except upgraded audio and second row displays. Ordered on January 20th of 2020, so we waited for it a year. After 2 weeks 48v battery failed. The car is not drivable. Got towed to MB. It's been sitting there for a week now, and they are saying at least 2 more weeks before they get the battery. They gave us GLC 300 that we can't even fit our family in. (Bigest loaner they had) Lots of cosmetic issues with GLS's seat upholstery, leather bubbling up on driver's and front passenger's seats, crooked stitches in the front of both seats. 2nd raw ventilated seat wire was not plugged in. The connector for ventilated seat was jammed inside the massage controller box, so they couldn't find it and just left it unplugged. Rear bumper is not properly attached to the fender, large gap between metal and plastic on left side. Very much disappointed with assembly quality of Alabama plant. Terrible oversight by the company who claims to be "The best, or nothing"

Siento mucho que pase por esta situación. Le garantizo que los Mercedes Benz fabricados acá en Europa no traen esos defectos. Acá también hemos notado la mala calidad de los acabados porque el GLS sólo lo fabrican en USA. Es decepcionante.

@@ChaosKingable Por desgracia los GLS sólo de ensamblan en USA y el control calidad es una auténtica porquería. Nunca debieron permitir que se fabricaran allí. Alemania cuida la calidad algo que USA no hace. Siento mucho que pasen por esta situación bochornosa con un producto tan caro. Saludos desde España.

Curious what you think of the tires. AMG does it have all season option. So I have to go with 580 even though I love the Amg options.

I am in the market for a gls. Can you make a review and test drive of the gls580. And also, of you think it is worth the money to upgrade to the 580, or stick with the 450.

Would if I could be we are SOLD OUT! If you like a heavily optioned car go with the 580. If you are light equipment, go 450.

Gls 63 has no e-active body suspension, it's a deal braker for me it's super stiff. 580 is way more comfortable.

Thanks for such a nice presentation. I live the GLS580 interior but like the GLS63 AMG front facia. I don't need the GLS63's extra power as this will be a family car. Can I get a GLS580 and install GLS63's front bumper? Thanks.

I think there are very few people who could detect the difference under normal circumstances. It is not a must-have for me, unless it is a must-have for my customer.

Oh, My! I thought the cars were wrong as described left vs right....but they were correctly done.... NICE VIDEO! Like the standard "right" car grill much more than the "Buick on the left".....and that is also the Maybach style.....WOW! Go Buick!.....I'll keep the standard M.B. base style.....my thoughts only, but better then the "buck/rabbit toothed BMW's now appearing on the market.......grrrr! Mr. P
