I will never not find it funny that one of the most complex, varied, and atmospheric video game soundtracks of all time comes not from an epic RPG or plot-heavy adventure, but a platformer about a pair of monkeys fighting alligator pirates. A great rearrangement of a legendary soundtrack.

Lockjaw's Saga was one of my favorite tracks from the original game. On first play, this rendition started off a little slow and different for me, and I wasn't sure how to feel. ... but then THOSE DRUMS hit for the first time.... Every hair on my body stood on-end. A flood of nostalgia and excitement pulsed through my very soul. Such a faithful rendition of the original with added flair in all the right places. This was AMAZING, perfectly done!!

As an initial comment, it's risky to modify something that important to a fanbase such as a beloved videogame ost but the greatest things in this world come from brave people who take the risk of taking something we thought was perfect and making it even better. Oh my heavens! From the bottom of my heart I thank you for this tribute to an entire generation who played this masterpiece. As a 5 year old in 1995 when this game released, I remember my brothers and I got this game for Christmas that year and we immediately started playing it. DKC2 was, is, and always will be my favorite game in the DK series. The different world themes, and especially the soundtrack are what make this game so special to me. Thank you for bringing this bit of nostalgia into my day.

The result, while being good for sure, is unfortunately nowhere as nearly powerful nor impressive as the original music. While the music back then was poor in quality compared to nowadays, the sound was astonishingly powerful and caught us into the game so easily. This seems just like donkey Kong returns, too soft for the franchise, but cute nonetheless. A shame it lacks real power and energy.

I grew up playing this gem of a game and it's still one of my all-time favorites. You absolutely knocked this thing out of the park and to the moon. It was a complete privilege listening to it.
