@Alex A naw man that dude started beefing with boy bands female pop artists like Aguilera and Mariah and Elton John, and talked about killing his own mother etc. MTV TRL got their white messiah and that bad single, My Name Is slim Shady was wack, but white media used that and ran with it. White kids were buying him up, he was the basis for validating their own wannabe culture appropriation lifestyles. Back then even street dudes with straight bangers couldnt get coverage or air play cause Eminem and white media took over. Benzino did what he did out of authenticity to what hiphop was. Eminem turned it into hippop. Sure, Benzino got media backlash but he stayed true and I respect that even though it became a bit biased, cause he knew the whole world wouldnt support him. Then when it surfaced that Eminem said some racist things, black artists who wanted his cosign went silent. Benz did call him out and was hated. Keep in mind too that the Source back then was legit and was responsible for lotta artists and hiphop culture. Not saying Em doesnt have legit hits, but his song that made him famous and white people getting someone they can rally with due to Dre's cosign was all part of fsbricated hype at a time when it was needed most by the masses.
@sirdopaminesjournal32922 жыл бұрын
@Alex A Eminem is only dope now, not back then. I don't know anything about Benzino. But I do know that during the "Slim Shady LP", Eminem was corny as fuck and the mainstream gravitated towards him because he was white and dissed Britney Spears, Christina Aguillera and boy bands.

Dr. Dre distanced himself from Game because he begged Game to not increase the beef between him and 50 Cent. Granted his request was most likely money motivated because both were signed to him but nonetheless Game ignored him and turned the heat up on it and the rest is history. To put it into the proper context for today's generation, Game and 50 beefing at that time was equivalent to Nicki Minaj & Drake beefing right after they blew up and Lil Wayne gets caught in the middle of it. Jay-Z gave Game some sound advice early in his career. Game took offense to it. Artist like Kanye, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, Rihanna and many others received the same advice from Jay-Z and put it to use. Game should have listened, now when he vents he just looks like a cry baby, he looks lame, his message is not being well received. Game makes good music but has a lame social media presence

Dr Dre is allowed? Dr Dre works with who he wants to. He is very picky. Usually, when he produces your first album, he expects you to run with it from there. He doesn’t baby sit his artists. He’s on to the next. Dr Dre said he is like an uncle to Fame because game is hard headed and doesn’t listen to to his advice but he loves him.

JD is a great producer but he strong-armed other well known artists for their images. Da Brat’s entire flow, image and style early in her career was a remix of Snoop. If there was another spot in the Super bowl half time show it should have went to the remaining members of NWA with an homage to Eazy.
