so you saying you were a juror? and I've never heard of the feds coming for someone for a year of time. even benzs 5 years seems light. if it was me, i hear the feds is coming for me like that, (first of all I'm fucked, they gonna laugh if i try to pawn my ford focus and my tungsten wedding ring🤣) but id hire the best lawyer i could. my case would be a public pretender, but feds don't come for taxes unless they can't get you on a criminal charge. IE, Al Capone. benz said himself, they couldn't get him on what they wanted, and id rather be broke and not doing football numbers and catch single digit years, than risk it without a real attorney and then the feds can steamroll my ass cause public pretenders are in cahoots with state/federal DA/Prosecuters.

@@imgrindinonce the feds come they usually have a airtight case, and with the guidelines and mandatory minimums I don’t think it matters much between a paid lawyer and court appointed,unless you notice a loophole or constitutional right violation ,the public defender usually won’t fight for a lower sentence even after bringing that to their attention,they are trying to make a an agreement between court and defendant,not a dismissal,where a paid lawyer will argue those facts
