Benzo Withdrawals (7 Months) + How Tolerance Withdrawals Almost Led to Suicide

An update on benzo withdrawals (Klonopin withdrawals) after 7 months and a personal story about how tolerance withdrawals from benzodiazepines almost caused my suicide in November, 2017.
Background: I was prescribed 1mg of Klonopin and 120mg of Cymbalta by a doctor for PTSD and anxiety. I tapered Klonopin to 0.25 mg before quitting CT. I am currently still taking 45mg of Cymbalta but am tapering to 0mg.

I cold turkeyed from Klonopin and it nearly killed me, this stuff is the devils candy. I'm in my second year of withdrawal, still getting this humming sound in my head, the odd panic attack, muscle soreness, sometimes I feel so weak but i'm just eating healthy food and building up the amount of exercise i do.

Thanks for sharing your story - I've been on benzo's for over 30 years, only now discovering BIND and tolerance and starting my taper and willingly entering the long dark night of the soul that is withdrawal...

I'm on my fourth attempt to taper off Klonopin and my quality of life has gotten so bad that I'm pretty mcuh on the verge of suicide. I had a good life before these pills but I feel like I'm past my breaking point. I still have 2 mg's to taper and I'm bedridden and can't seem to distract at all. Your last video really spoke to me I break down crying saying the same things all the time. I'm trying to stay positive but it's so hard when I have constant DP/DR, terror, dizziness, depression, insomnia, etc. It seems to get worse every day.

Hope you are well. Did you have feeling that your brain didn't work normally and couldn't understand a simple thing and become overwhelmed of any normal things and can't understand that people can do normal things and live their lives? I feel that all the time, brain lock. Also bad depersonalization and derealisation. I am tapering klonopin with Ashton manual. I had good life before my dog had to put to sleep at the age of 16 in summer 2021 and had terrible panic attacks and prescriped a big amount of oxazepam and doctor didn't warn me. Have suffered 1,5 years. Year ago when I was in bad withdrawl of oxazepam One doctor did crossover from oxazepam to diazepam and brain lock went away. I got my life back for few weeks, depression symptoms went away and could see my partner and mom and other people (now i'm isolated because I just tell my hell all the time to my loved ones because of constant panic of brain lock). But taper was too quick and went badly wrong. Long story and now on klonopin doing crossover to diazepam.

Where you on Cymbalta while going through tolerance withdrawal? Did the Cymbalta help? I've been going through tolerance withdrawal from klonopin severely since December and my antidepressants haven't been helping. I'm going to Myrtle Beach in 2 weeks and our condo is on the 12th floor and I've been contemplating jumping off our balcony while I'm there because I can't get out of this awful dissociation and derealization from this tolerance withdrawal hell I've been going through. I'm going to a detox program this week to get this crap Klonopin out of me. I have to get my life back for my son.

BrandonBreaks Thank you for your words of encouragement but I am just um 2 dam scared I don't have 5 years to taper its just I just I don't want to II am terrible I have a terrible terrible panic disorder and I'm and tolerance right now which I'm taking more I knew of a girl that had a brick in every morning she would scrape her pill once and then the next day she would scrape it twice and so on and so on It was a long time ago I can't remember if she even had any withdraws it was rated to beginning of KZbin but as I I'm moving this month we are and I should say and the payment is a $100 more I need to get back to work and I need my xanax. Until I'm ready I'm going to Sik tryst and tell him my issue but I'm not ready right now there's no way I can I do it right now but rock on to the people who you do it I'm on 8 mg that's just it just asking to die people commit suicide and I'm one of those people that probly would I'm a big crybaby I hate pain I hate the thought of even attempting to withdraw or started taper and sounding like a broken record OK but thank you thank you thank you thank you

Just take your time cher, there is no rush. I think your continuous use could actually be a good thing I have been on and off many times untill I really got hooked and then it really is hard to taper. Just go real real slow and you wont notice the difference. I came from 5mg Ativan which is still a decent dose. I am now below 1mg. My mistake is I wanted of too fast I rapid tapered and paying for it. People who take their time and taper very slow don't tend to suffer very much. I also read A LOT of people have waaay less anxiety going down and healing.I experienced this in the beginning of my taper. Scraping your pill could be a good start. Buy a good scale that reads 0,001 grams. Once you get going you will be happy you started.

@@savagegarbage551 I know how it feels I couldn't walk, sleep, sweaty, heart racing... I used to get 6mg of clonazepam and 90 .50 Xanax for one doctor... I had no idea what he was giving me and 20 years later I'm still on them but there going to start lowering my dose...

Odinsrage 14 I’m going through this right now, the VA hospital has me in this limbo where it’s a gamble just to get the lorezapam on time, I sometimes get it too late like a week late and by then I’m going insane and feel like dying...so I take too many, go through withdraws again, think I’m going to get them on a certain date so I drink heavily until then, then the pharmacist tells me that they aren’t due for another week!?!? Wtf, and the cycle repeats

He's doing a lot better. He was diagnosed with a gluten intolerance and that diet change has made a big difference. He's 11 months out now and finding relief from the craziness.

Benzo T I’ve had much more energy to exercise and be active. However when I’m not active I’m fatigued or feeling brain fog. Sleep has gotten much better as well. My stomach issues and benzo belly seem to be improving. I’m not certain if it is due to cutting back on coffee and exercise or time healing (or all combined). I seem to have larger windows and shorter waves recently. Thank you for asking 🙏🏼✊🏼

Ty green I have definitely experience and still experience vision troubles and dizziness. More brain fog or headache than pressure. I do notice that increase agitation or rising blood pressure contributes to my vision trouble or dizziness. I noticed a swaying or moving sensation of what I’m looking at.
