Oh soon after ive evenly applied the product, I apply the next one. I would say 20-30 seconds? even less sometimes, but I make sure I apply each of them evenly all over my face.

Yes, thats why your derm prescribed them alternately. They cannot be applied at the same time. Pwede ung isa umaga then ung isa gabi, or alrernate days :)

Best to discontinue using the BPO and apply an anti-inflammatory and soothing creams instead. ok dn to take antihistamine. if it doesnt improve, I suggest you consult.

Hello Doc. I've been using BP gel 5% for two weeks now and I don't see any dryness or peeling but my acnes got worse! They last for 2-3 days tho but my face is very bad. I am using it once a day, put a little amount directly on acne and I leave it for 2 hours. Is that normal side effect? I don't want to make my face worse that it is. Thank you.

It could mean you need more than just topical medications. I recommend a consultation before your acne lesions get any worse.

Hmmm how are u using it? topical antibiotics should not be used for long periods of time as it can breed bacterial resistance and I dont recommend it as monotherapy for acne because acne is not an infectious condition. if prescribed naman sayo i guess u just have to follow up regularly.

Side effect talaga ng BPO yan Thats why i dont recommend putting it on right before you sleep kc nakaka stain ng sheets. Other anti-acne meds are prescription meds na e. Best to consult.

Sunflower oil is said to be high in vitamin e, liloleic acid and is a good moisturizer because of its antioxidant properties. I don’t recommend it though as a treatment for acne :)

I'm currently recommended by my doctor to use BP and I use Panoxyl, 4% everyday and 10% on some night. Mas malala sa neck area ko, there's a lot of cyst na nagtatagal lang ng ilang araw. When i told her that, she then promptly suggested accutane po which i disagreed. Regular moisturizers are usually not enough for keratosis pilaris. You would need humectants and exfoliants. Best to be guided via a formal consultation :)

Anything that increases skin turnover - retinoids, exfoliants, bpo - can cause purging. If it lasts more than 4 weeks baka hindi na yan purging

Hello doc, im currently using 5% benzoyl peroxide cream po. And the moisturizer i use is the celeteque one, gel consistency po sya and moistly ang ingredients po ay mga hydrator. Nalilito po ako kasi ako kung ano po mauuna sa dalawa ilagay since light to heavy po ang sinusunod na paglagay ng products, di ko po sure kung tama ba na moisturizer ilagay ko muna baka di pala nag eeffect yung benzoyl peroxide.

I always recommend properly cleaning your face before applying any product :) Any cleanser naman is ok as long as it doesnt leave you're skin feeling dry or stretched after washing. Toners naman ok lng din as long as your skin can tolerate.

Pwede naman but if you dont have acne anymore i would suggest you shift to a different skincare product. We dont develop resistance from benzoyl peroxide naman so no need to worry

Tanong ko lang po kung gaano po kakapal or kadami yung dapat ilagay na BPO sa cystic acne as spot treatment? 1 month na po kasi ako gumagamit ng BPO and tret and currently sobra po yung purging ko, iniisip ko po kung dahil din ba to sa dami ng nilalagay ko na tret sa gabi and BPO as spot treatment sa morning routine ko po. Baka d kc enough ung topical treatment, which is indicated for mild to moderate acne.

I'm using a glycolic acid soap and adapalene 0.1 benzoyl peroxide 2.5 po as prescribed po sakin. Sa first few weeks, I can see an improvement but after that, my skin has been on and off. it's like a cycle po, laging hindi nawawalan ng bagong pimple. My problem now is I lost contact with the derma and paubos na po yung prescribed sakin. My skin is breaking out na rin these past 2 weeks. I'm planning on using plain benzoyl peroxide po sana. What do you think about that po? Follow up, should I also stop using glycolic acid soap and use other cleanser po?

U can use bpo in am and then tret in pm, magkaiba sila ng mechanism of action and you will benefit more if gamitin mo sila pareho. Topical creams work best for mild acne. If moderate to severe you will need other meds/treatment.

Taking a bath more than once a day kc can cause dryness. Pero kung halimbawa pinagpawisan ka or nadumihan ka ok lng naman, just make sure to use warm (not hot) water, and to apply emollients after :)

I dont prescribe bioderm ointment for acne. Witbreagrds to bpo, as early as 4 weeks to as long as 8 weeks tonsee results

I've been using benzole peroxide(facial wash) for about a month na.. and till now di parin clear ung face ko sa acne.. i'm not sure if purging po ito but im having pustules acne around jaw and neck area... question doc. Best po ba if stop ko na paggamit nito? Or wait ko po muna? And if iicontinue ko man how long pa dapat po? If stop ko naman ano po suggestion nyong next treatment? Thank you
