Repair of a Beomaster 6000 4-Channel Output Amplifier

I have a beo 6000. Working perfectly. Wiped the face with an overly damp rag. No sound. Any suggestions for a novice in ny

Did you have to remove the radio scale with its units, to get up the amp section
