Beogram 4002/4004: Detector Arm Circuit Discussion and LED Conversion

love ur content! been literally watching all of ur videos! so my beogram recently started to drop the tonearm at the 33 position regardless if the record is there or not. i noticed this when attempting to play a 45 recently, and the tonearm would simply drop down at the 33 position even when the 45 is placed there. i check the bulb, its still bright, i wiped the lens.. and still behaving this way. any insight on what may be happening? or what i should be addressing? thanks in advance in really appreciate ur content! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

It may be that the transistor that amplifies the sensor signal needs to be replaced. They frequently go out of spec and then the circuit cannot detect the ribs anymore and 'thinks' there is a record on the platter. Get in touch via [e-mail] if you need to discuss further...
