Which one of these is the best for listening to classical music?

Think I might lean towards the beoplay HX

Hello, I have a little question about the Beoplay hx: If the auto power off is set to e.g. 15min. And the music pause. Do they also power off when there is a bluetooth connection? My Sony's stay on, only if disconnect the Bluetooth. Regards, Steve

5:25 Nah, I have the Sonys as well and when you turn on the Noise Cancelling you get way more bass. So it's the other way round. The ANC improves the soundquality.

yeah my mistake. for the Sonys I meant slightly increase not decrease.

@E. O. Yeah I know. Bass is just another factor of a good sound but in my opinion not only bass but the overall sound is better with ANC activated. If you think they sound muddy that's your problem. I also own them since two years and compared them to many other headphones (also from Focal) and I like them very much. Personally I even like the factory settings the most but everybody evaluates sound different.

@E. O. Bro, everybody likes different types of sound. I like my Sonys very much and I think they sound better with ANC activated but that is just my opinion and you have another opinion about that and that's completely ok. I don't give a fuck about frequency response. I just want my headphones to sound good. And if you like the Sennheißers more than buy them or whatever, I like the Sonys more after I compared them but I think that the Sennheißers are great headphones as well.

Why didn't you test the xm4s?
@Ezekielo3 жыл бұрын
I have tested and returned them long ago as I didn’t notice any difference in sound quality. Decided to keep my xm3s. 🙂

Figured I’d make this comment for anyone who stumbles upon it. I am selling/ getting rid of my B&O HX due to 3 very clear flaws. And these are not due to a faulty headphone as I have had this issue with 2 pairs of B&O HX. 1. POOR/ BUGGY APP: when I connect the headphones, the app often does not recognize them or doesn’t properly load the EQ settings. Or worse, the phone will ask to install the app (although it already is installed) when I connect the headphones. App stability is non-negotiable at this price range. 2. THE WEAR SENSOR IS POOR/ NON-RESPONSIVE: It will work once or twice but will most often not work - with either phones or when connected to a computer. So many other headphones get this right. 3. THERE ARE NO VOICE PROMPTS, just little sounds to denote connecting to a device or 2nd device or changing settings. This is unacceptable when headphones like the B&W PX7 indicate with a voice when connected, connected to a 2nd device, etc. For reference, I own the B&O HX, B&O Portal, and B&W PX7. I also own the Sony WF-1000XM4 & Galaxy Buds Pro. I find the HX are the clear weak link in this group for what their use case is.
