Beosound Balance does not come with a remote control in the box, however, you can control it with Beoremote One or Beoremote Halo which can be purchased separately. Hope this helps. With all the praises given to Beoplay M5. No one mentioned that this speaker is NOT meant for TV's external speaker!! There are 4 setbacks if you want to use it for TV external speaker; 1) when paired by Bluetooth, there will be a delay in sync with the video from the TV. Also the TV will pause due to interruption from the surrounding. 2) When Bluetooth is disconnected (TV switched off) there will be an irritating "dang-dang" chime from M5, until the next pairing. 3) You can connect this M5 speaker by optical/analogue input from the TV but there is no volume control from the TV's remote control. Volume control is by turning the top of M5. 4) M5 takes about 2 minutes to boot up, therefore you need to switch on M5 before the TV's.

What a disappointment. Any recommendation of the same size/performance/sound quality speaker which IS MEANT as TV's external speaker from other manufacturer?

2K? yes very expensive. Anyway, sorry, bu your house don´t have more that 20 sq meters, to fill up with good speaker with 2k, or you´ve never listned good speakers before.

I would have ran to the store to buy this had they not included Google spy with future software updates for Amazon spy also... I truly can't imagine why in all the stupid things to do they would think customers want a microphone listening to EVERY SINGLE THING THEY SAY ! It's 1984 invited into your own home. B&O is over and done with as far as I'm concerned. At the very least they should have put the listening device on a removable cable.

Even in the google assistant enabled model, you have a hard switch off button underneath the speaker to disable it. I did!

@@oriananguyenvan1877 Yes I just don't trust that ... Even though the phone I'm using to write this is probably spying on me . Just don't see the need for all the microphones on connected devices
