Thank you for praying this prayer Ms. Erica! My husband and I both were tested positive with COVID-19 and we are healthy people. I'm 39 and my husband is in his 50's. We appreciate you praying this prayer and praise God we have recovered from the virus. We have our follow up doctor appointment tomorrow, so will find out if we're both cleared from our quarantine and self isolation due to this virus. Please believe with us that we are virus free forever. We know that this is just a testimony of God's faithfulness and that He has big plans for both my husband and I to carry out. The devil attacked me with someone breaking into our house 2 nights ago. The weird thing is I was awake the whole night and didn't notice anything. I was in the living room and the robber came through a window in my bedroom. He stole my money and wallet. The next morning, we found out we were robbed. The funny thing is I don't feel like I lost anything. My heart is so at peace and I am questioning myself why am I not worried what's wrong with me. 😅 and I realized, it was God's peace. Everybody's sleeping except me when the thief entered and no one got hurt. The first thing I saw about this was God's protection. And that morning, I also received an email offering me a job. And I'm like, God you allowed my money to be stolen and you offer me a job at the same day? 😂 I got confused. And, when you said we need to go through what Jesus went through to be Christ-like, I was crying thinking about how Jesus also knows what's it's like to feel rejected and lonely. Having to sacrifice his self, for the sake of others. 😭 It's comforting to know we are praying to someone who knows what it's exactly like to feel this way.

I’ve been feeling like God is cleaning out my spiritual “closet”. Just showing me there’s still all kinds of stuff in me. This message is so important. One of the reasons I have felt some separation from my Protestant brothers and sisters (I am Catholic) is in this particular area. When I speak of redemptive suffering, the suffering of the body - the working out of our salvation in fear in trembling - there is often a response such as "Jesus already did that for me on the Cross" which seems to ignore so much of reality. Our redemption is won, yes, but our participation in the Life He won for us involves taking up our Cross, denying ourselves and following Him. The victory was won but the Kingdom is still being built in our souls. Jesus said one perfect Yes, but we have to continually say yes to receiving His sacrifice and receiving means also being incorporated (the Body) into it because we are not perfect. We can drop the gift of salvation - it never goes away or loses its value - but it can be abandoned, ignored, taken for granted...our oneness with Him comes through following Him and that means the Resurrection but it also means suffering.
