I've always maintained that the Beretta 694 is one of the best shotguns on the market and can hold its own against anything out there. Here we test my Beretta 694 against a very special Krieghoff K-80 to see just how close the two are in a head to head test.
If you missed the unboxing of the very special Krieghoff K-80 used in this battle you can see it here: • Krieghoff K-80 Custom ...
and for a more in-depth review: • Krieghoff K-80 Review ...

The DT11 is a fantastic gun but it is considerably more expensive than the 694, so my advice would be to buy a secondhand one. With regard to to sporting or ACS, it depends what you are shooting? My preference would always be for the sporter.

Good vid, I own Beretta 686 20 n 12 ga and love shooting with them especially because they are fitted to me. I’m retired so no more shotguns for me. I take them hunting too along with sporting clays. I have killed countless ducks, geese, quail, n doves with them an really enjoy them for over 30 years. I would like a lighter but smooth shooting over n under 12 ga. I just bought the A400 ultralight and it shoots super smooth and is light for an automatic.

Awesome review, I own a 694 that I purchased without an adjustable comb. For me, that was a mistake. I prefer a gun with a higher point of impact and the 694 just shot too low for me. My stock is now currently with "Stocker John" here in the US that is cutting in an adjustable comb for me. Before I mailed it to him I was shooting the 694 with great success and pleasure with a neoprene comb riser. I will be glad to have the wood stock back without the neoprene sleeve showing off that "Grade 2.5" wood. (We all know it's Grade 3) One more thing, when I raised the comb with the sleeve it changed the angle the recoil pad rested on my shoulder. It made it so one corner of the recoil pad impacted my shoulder and bruised my shoulder pocket. The solution I found is to add a 0"-3/8" angled shim in front of the recoil pad to account for the 3/8" I raised the comb. After dialing in the 3/8" comb riser and the 3/8" angle shim in the recoil pad, the 694 patterns exactly how I want it to and the recoil to back to factory (barely anything). It's a great gun and I look forward to shooting it for many more years.

A solid shooter equipped with a reliable gun that fits properly and patterns well is all you need. Yes, Kreighoff triggers are better but don’t forget to mention that you “must” get those triggers tuned every two years ($400). Don’t tune the K-80 triggers and you run the risk of breaking an axle or hammers.

That’s an old K80. It’s not a super sport. Very gaudy. Too much. Recoil system is aftermarket, finish is aftermarket, pistol grip cap is add on. Comparing an old right handed fixed choke gun against a left handed new miltichoke 694 … makes perfect sense Reviewing guns … from the brief shots and other videos, very much an amateur shooter, not the best basis for putting out review videos. As such no one considering buying a K gun will be interested, let alone swayed … unless for laughs. Rating guns 94 and 96/100 lol. But put your money up, buy the gun, have a stock made by say Manuel Ricardo, sell the RH stock and let’s see your scores🤗 Not being harsh but why on earth are you ‘reviewing’ guns? Please by all means give opinion and call it such but ‘someone came and I videoed it on my worktop’ is a bit light on insight, knowledge and value. Anyone that genuinely shoots CPSA competitions to a consistent standard, will cringe at this content. Who are you informing? An amateur definitely wouldn’t buy a K gun without knowing ‘why’, so many things can change as knowledge increases. Anyway, not here to trash you but it would be better to acknowledge your knowledge and skills may not be that of an accomplished shot. If by some chance you are in fact a AA competition shot - I will gladly eat my comment snd hush 🙋🏼‍♂️

Ok but for the money the Krieghoff is a rip off compared. They also weight about 7 tons. My mate has one and because he paid so much for it he cannot bring himself to admit that it isn't the right gun for him. I have offered him many times the chance to try one of my guns and he simply won't do it. I have been shooting with a Browning Ultra XTR for the past 8 years and love it to bits despite one or two niggles. It was 3300 euros new 18 years ago, so not a cheap gun. Last Year I bought a brand new Browning XS Pro. It comes with all the bells and whistles and is beautiful too. But... After a whole year shooting very well with it here in France and hardly touching my Utra XTR I went back to the Ultra to test it again and guess what, I shoot better with it. So I'm afraid that all that money spent on a new XS Pro (3800 euros) didn't work out very well. It's now up for sale.

There is no doubt about it, the Krieghoff is the better engineered gun, however you are paying for it! So my advice is that is you are a competition shooter then go for the Kreighoff. If you are a Sunday golfer, like me, then save the money and buy the Beretta. Browning I rate highly too.

Like comparing apples and oranges. You can tailor every detail of the K80 to your liking. I've never shot 2 K80s that feel identical so limits the ability to compare it to another gun and specially a gun 4 to 5 times the value. The Berretta is mass produced to a budget. Yes great value for what you get but in a totally different league to K80. I don't agree with you in the trigger pulls on K80 for me its always been a big let down of the gun. The feeling of the mechanical reset to the second barrel takes some getting used to. Personally think the Blaser F3 trigger is on another level to all other factory triggers
@Bassingtons
