Beretta 84BB from Palmetto State Armory

i just got one from PSA. Mine came in what I'd call "very good" condition. the slide, barrel, bore, guide rod & recoil spring all are in excellent shape. The lower frame & grip were in very good; some finish flaking on front & back of grips & the rear of the beavertail was worn bright & slightly roughed up. FIxed that with some Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black touch up pen. Do NOT use Birchwood Casey Super Black - it doesn't adhere to the aluminum frame lower. Will work on anything on the steel slide though if you needed touch up on that. I ordered more brand new Beretta 13 round mags. Shot it once; feeds Hornady American Gunner JHP and ball FMJ ammo fine but on multiple times the slide would lock back with still one round in the mag; looks like the mag spring isn't lifting the final round up fast enough. Trigger is better than my Beretta 92FS. Sights are hard to see but doable. I got a Azula leather OWB holster (LH) for it. I'm happy with what it is.

@@athappyhiker much appreciated on the tip about aluminum black. I actually have been considering touching up the finish both on this and a couple of other aluminum-framed guns.

The grip just feels fat for being a 380. The cz82 grip is slimmer. The newer 80x is tiny in comparison.

@@touofthehighplains this is true, I did take some measurements as a comparison. The Beretta is shorter in overall length and height, but wider in the grip and slide… Beretta is much lighter though. Thinking of ordering a pair of the slim grips, supposedly they make a world of difference.

@@XDMIIIIIIIIIthe only Beretta 92 I have for comparison at the moment is a 92S, but the width of the grip is nearly identical (with factory grip panels, but the Lok aftermarket grips are noticeably slimmer), the 92S grip is noticeably larger in height and in length front to back. So even with factory grips, the 84 is overall smaller in most dimensions.
