The SIG P320 disassembly of the serialized part i.e. the gun out of the grip frame is much, much easier than the Berettas. The Beretta APX maybe a good gun but it is not as good as the SIG's as the Army's XM17 / XM18 Modular Handgun System (MHS) competition showed. In that test only two guns systems passed: Glock19Xs & SIG 320s.

@@sweetcostarica uh no. the "competition" did not prove anything. It's based on money, the lowest bidder. Plus the Beretta was not prepared for their entry in time. You could pretty much look at any other aspect of the gun and it's not only better than Sig, but light years better. Such as the slide rails, which are big, long and beefy, whereas they are puny little half inch things on the Sig. The APX does not take a back seat to Glock, either, who haven't innovated anything in like 30 years.

I've always had an affinity for the under dog - especially in the 2A realm. One of many reasons why you won't find any Glock's in this household. I recently stopped in at my LGS and they had the Compact model APX. I was thoroughly impressed. There's just something about Italian craftsmanship that I always appreciate. This gun has a smooth action just like all Beretta's. However, the gentleman behind the counter told me that they haven't sold a single APX. Since its debut, the CZ P10C has been outshining all others by a landslide. That's no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the gun market as of lately. Keep up the good work my friend.

Another high quality and informative video, just what I've come to expect here. I just shot my APX for the first time today, been out of commission with the latest surgery I had. Put over 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions and it was very accurate. I found it to be very soft shooting and a joy to shoot. I only have one complaint and that was the weak ejection, but like I said it ran flawlessly. Have a great day brother!

Picked one of these up myself, I'm really impressed with the ergonomics because they're PERFECT. The trigger isn't as crisp as the PPQ or VP9/VP40, however the APX has more of a duty style trigger. Overall it's a damn fine trigger and shoots very flat overall. I got mine in .40 S&W (it's a hefty handgun that handles the round very well) from Gunprodeals for $408, which was a total steal. Also picked up a Gen5 Glock 17 from my local gun shop over the weekend, it's surprisingly not that bad however has a strange index. Whenever I pull the G17 up from my side it want to naturally point upward instead of straight. Great video Sootch, keep up the good work!

Friend of mine let me shoot his. 20 rounds later...had to have it. Just 20 rounds and fell in love with the smooth trigger and it felt perfect in my hand. Perfect. Bought one a week later and LOVE it. Texture on handle is perfect. Nice mag release and slide stop. Try one and see....love it. Later gun dudes.

Got to handle one of these in the store. Really liked the weight and balance of it. Was looking for a possible cheaper alternative to my trusty M&P9 (like a Canik or something), but I came back to the APX every time. 1:06 The APX is not Beretta's first striker-fired pistol. That honor goes to the Beretta BU-9 Nano. The APX is a blown-up version of the Nano (even copied Nano's striker deactivation button), with a washboard slide added :)

@7:45 I'm fairly certain that has to do with the firing pin block safety being released/disengaged. Theory is after cleaning and regular inspection, if you don't see the pin coming up while pressing the trigger you would know the firing pin block safety is broken and needs to be repaired as the handgun may not be safe for use and carry at that point.

Had this on my radar for a bit. Saw it at local Rural King for $409... Think when it first came out it was set at $499. I like the idea of changing out the frame. Yeah it's not necessary, but for $50 you get to customize a little... Nothing wrong with that! I happen to like the looks of the slide and found it very easy to to"rack". I'm not a big fan of that little pin that pops up when you engage the trigger, but I find it just more of a annoyance than a actual issue. No such thing as late to the party. I don't know how many guns one person really needs. Probably just one if we are being honest with ourselves. I own several, yeah some I bought with the intention of carrying and protecting myself with, but most I have just because I enjoy hearing that bang and watching targets hit down range.

I checked out a bunch of polymer handguns at the LGS last week. The Beretta APX and Centurion were two of them. The APX felt great in the hand, however, I must have gotten a little oil on my hands from other handguns and it required more effort to rack the slide. I went back, checked the other handguns and had no problem racking those slides. The slide looks radical, however, functionality is an issue due to the rounded slide serrations and width between them. Finger is in contact with one instead of many (design flaw). I also didn’t like the front of the slide. It’s squared, tapered back appearance is distracting. My attention kept going to the unusual, awkward design instead of the front sight. S&W M&P 2.0 beat out all modern polymer handguns currently on the market. VP9 didn’t feel quite right (felt skinny) I like skinny with a big rack, however, the VP9 didn’t have a big rack. VP9SK felt great but was well over $700.00, Sig Sauer P320 ergonomics felt good in the hand but the frame feels like cheap polymer (beaver tail area isn’t right). Glock doesn’t provide enough workmanship for my money, not ascetically or ergonomically pleasing. Most handguns are reliable these days unless you pick up a Taurus or P365. Winner: M&P 2.0 🥇

I recently picked up a full size APX from Gun Pro Deals for $408 and since I purchased it before April 30th. I waiting on Beretta to send out my voucher for 5 free magazines 😃. The only thing I found is that if your hands are wet at all it makes it really difficult to grasp the slide serrations and rack the slide, but at least it's got steel sights with a ledge for one hand manipulations. I absolutely love mine. I bought one about 6 months ago, and am so glad I did. It shoots like a Cadillac ! I switched my frame for the OD green, and really like the look of it. One thing I also noticed is the quality of the machining and the molding of the frame - there's no markings anywhere. I'm really rethinking my next purchase might be the compact instead of the Sig P320. I love the bloopers at the end of the videos too. Sometimes they're the best part !

I like this gun. I think the P-10 won the next gen striker fired competition since the late 2010s, it's robust yet streamlined through much of its internals and has a great trigger. I rate the APX in the next tier of guns, being a little better than the M&P with it's ability to pop the trigger group out for maintenance and for a nicer trigger and for being a better value than a Glock.

I wish that Beretta would release additional slide option. A slide with more traditional serrations and even the option to attach an RMR would be great option and something that would distinguish the Beretta APX from even the P320.

I've had mine for a little while now. Shot it enough to trust it as my EDC carry gun. Especially with the TLR-7 weapon light (which I swear was made for this gun) and a black rhino concealment OWB. It has replaced my Glock 19 because I shoot it better, it holds 2 extra rounds, and is basically the same size as the 19. I would have switched sooner but finding a holster for the APX and TLR-7 is slim pickens. I will say that the black rhino is top notch and a perfect fit.

I dumped a couple of mags with this so I don’t have a great deal of knowledge but the short time I did spend with it was a very comfortable experience. It was a much easier gun to control than the Shadow 1, IMO (which is what I shoot).

Anyone that holds a Glock 17 next to apx and still prefers glock is absolutely not to be trusted . The apx is superior in every way , higher quality , better trigger design and pull, real sights out the box , a guide rod that will never need to be replaced from wear . Apx can be got for 330 and beretta is genius for flooding the market at the real price of plastic guns . Glocks aren’t worth 700 for a g19.

There are some gun tubers which complain about the APX extractor. One guy was describing how his extractor blew out after 20 rounds at the range. What I think is the problem with wrong reloads, double charge ammo or mishandling of the gun by inexperienced shooters. Please give an expert opinion how to prevent the extractor from blowing out. Thank you

I own the full size APX and agree with the comments made concerning the slide serrations.Firing with gloves presents no problem. Without gloves and the slide is wet or oily there is a problem. The slide serration s are almost useless. Check out the military channel video review of the APX and he comes to the same conclusion.I am a big fan Beretta and love my M-9, but I am frankly surprised at this obvious condition with the slide.This is a service grade pistol and water, oil etc. are going to come in contact with the slide. Looks great I agree, but functionality aspect sorely lacking.

if you dont have a quality handgun & have been waiting to get one. dont wait any longer, Buds is down to 94 of these hidden gems of a bargain. there wont be any left within just a few days now. when I got mine 3-4 weeks ago Buds had quite alot of the APX in stock... in a retail gun store these would be going for $800. EASY. IF IF IF you could even find one in a retail shop)
