My 92FS Inox is still my favorite. I’ve had it for almost 10 years and it’s amazing! I bought it on my 21st birthday and I turn 31 on June 30th. Absolute juggernaut of a gun

I bought my 92FS around 30 years ago. Most beautiful pistol ever made in my opinion. I must have put thousands of rounds through it and never once had a malfunction of any kind. It ate every type of ammo and was by far the most accurate and reliable pistol I’ve ever had. (I had to sell it before I moved to Canada) A few years later I’m back in the states and I wish I still had it. My local gun shop has them for only $1600.00 bucks? I paid $400 for mine decades ago so I won’t be replacing the old beauty any time soon and I’m not that interested in the newer Beretta models. I have a couple Ruger pistols now but they don’t even come close to my old Beretta.

I had beretta pistols for years. The military issue was due to heavy loads and mags not manufactured by Beretta.
@Woodstock271
@Woodstock271 Жыл бұрын
@@johnbruckner4681, Yeah I heard about the some problems with older Beretta military issue pistols but that being because production and demand took priority over quality. Just like everything else in this world. I guess I just got lucky that mine wasn’t part of the major production times but one where the gunsmith really took pride in every detail. There’s always little spaces in time when demand drops off and quality improves. I’m always wary when a particular piece becomes too popular. That inevitably means, quality suffers. That’s why my Beretta was great and some a few years before and later were not so great. Beretta is the oldest pistol manufacturer but now mostly work with brand-recognition that affords leniency in creations like the Tomcat. Now they’re back to other things full-size and compact, but I know I got lucky in the 80’s with a perfect beretta and that’s really all there is to it. Factory managers change, technology changes not for the better by consequence, it’s a luck of the draw most times.

@@johnbruckner4681 , One thing I agree with is that my friend had a similar 92F but not the same production year as mine. His was American-made and mine was full-on Italian, 15 round mags also Italian-made. He bought an 18 round American made mag that wasn’t extended but instead used a coiled sheet spring instead of the typical serpentine spring. He said it sucked and wouldn’t feed in his Beretta. He gave it to me and I tried it out in mine. Zero problems. The American made mag fed just fine through my Italian Beretta. That of course has to do with the tolerances in machining. His American Beretta was crap, my Italian one was perfect, the American mag was fine. So really it has to do with the quality of the original pistol and what it was designed for. But again, that’s ever-changing.
@Woodstock271
@Woodstock271 Жыл бұрын
@@johnbruckner4681, Sorry but I’m in a mood and like to share some human-related idiosyncrasies involved in production and QC operations I’ve experienced. I was a machinist. I trained machinists. Our tolerances were sometimes within 50 thousandths of an inch. That’s the thickness less than the thinnest piece of aluminum foil and way less thick than human hair. Calipers are for getting sloppily close. Micrometers are for fine measurements. After that, extreme tolerances are on a molecular level. Most people on an assembly line are overworked, underpaid, and really don’t give a sh*t. That’s where human-error always comes into play. That’s why something as simple as a pair of underwear has a QC stamp with the name of the person or employee number who made it, in case you want to complain against them for your underwear only having one leg. The Chinese invented this to scare their slaves. Most Americans wouldn’t go through the complaint process, just accept that China ripped them off again. No big deal. Machining in America is held to much lower standards and even failure points are purposely designed to fail. Your car could easily last a lifetime, but there’s no money in that. So it’s intended to fail on many levels. So you buy another one instead of wondering why they didn’t perfect the last one. Same with guns. A little different since every shot is life-threatening, but who exactly was on the production line when your particular gun was machined and why does it jam when your friend’s identical model doesn’t? Simple. Human flaws. Who is held responsible? Nobody. The company as a whole absorbs those failures. Maybe they track down the crackhead on the line and fire him but you’ll never hear of that. It goes on and on and human nature is the problem while complex math and machining is not. Don’t be paranoid, there are standards involved, but if identical weapons act differently, blame a guy named Billy-Bob and move on.

I had a Beretta 92FS in stainless steel. I spent a lot of time learning about the weapon. Especially field stripping it. I had fired the 92 before and found it to be the most pleasant gun to shoot. Really sweet. I messed around and gave it to my younger brother for Christmas. It’s his house gun. I would probably buy the Beretta 92FS in stainless again. It has the perfect tactical barrel length. Beretta had the 94 , a .40 caliber variant.

.40 cal is the 96.....
@Woodstock271
@Woodstock271 Жыл бұрын
I have a funny story regarding the Beretta in .40 cal. I bought my 92FS (9 mil of course), in Hawaii and they have stricter gun laws than some States, one being the mandatory 10-day waiting period. Another being a mandatory safety training course during the waiting period and background check. No problem, I showed up at the range for my safety course. Not that I needed firearms safety training, I’d been shooting various guns since I was a little kid and always exceedingly safe, taught by my father who was a marksman and paratrooper in the Army. But Hawaii law said I needed to pass this course anyway and that’s fine, since I don’t want to be shooting near anyone who fails it. The “Instructor” got to my lane on the range and explained that I couldn’t shoot the gun I paid for but he brought my two magazines and I could use his Beretta in Stainless with my magazines. Very strange. Like shooting someone else’s gun with my magazines would be something worth doing? The instructor handed me his pistol. Very pretty. Looked just like mine but mine was in the combat finish. Another detail I noticed on his pistol was that his said .40 cal. on the slide. I said, “Ummm…My Beretta is 9mm. So are my magazines. Yours is .40 cal. Is that going to be a problem?” His eyes bugged out. “Oh sh*t, my mistake. Yes, that would be a problem. You just passed this safety course with flying colors. Doesn’t matter how you shoot. You’ll be using my .40 cal mags in my .40 cal weapon.” His Beretta 96 was great and I made some tight groups at 25 yards. He said, “You passed before you fired it but you’re a really good shot as well. Appreciate if you don’t mention my little screwup here.” “No problem sir, I know you’re busy with rookies. Sh*t happens.” Got my Beretta 92FS and I’m glad I liked it better than the .40 cal. 96. Never said a thing about my “Instructor” trying to blow us both up. Everything is fine. I hope he learned something that day.

@@Woodstock271 it wouldn't have worked anyway though. But yeah, the fact you realized the mags and gun are different caliber already says you're not an amateur handling weapons. Neither is his "screw up" I might say, they look very similar indeed. Overall a very nice exchange from you two and I bet you're a great shooter and he's also a great instructor as well.

i purchased a 92g in 1998 while still in the Army. simply a fantastic pistol and out of all that i own, is still the best shooter and most reliable. non military berettas are almost perfect. i of course was naive back then but the gun store owner said “why buy a 1911 or 92sf when you can buy something modern. fantastic advise, and this is the advice i give today to new shooters. don’t buy a glock, 1911, beretta as your first pistol. purchase something that feels good, has a good track record, and something that you can feel good owning. just because the seals used to run them is a garbage excuse. if i could only buy one pistol? 226 or 320. i don’t own either but that’s what i could get for home. not cheap but not crazy biden money either

Was issued a Beretta before deployment to Saudi for Desert Storm. The weapon was constantly exposed to the elements as I was a tanker and was out on my tank 24/7 starting January 7 1990. It got rained on, covered in dust, dropped, etc during those weeks before the ground war. I cleaned it as often as i could, but it still got dust in it. The day of the ground war, my .50 cal on top of my turret wouldn't work so i whipped out my Beretta and it shot perfectly even though it was out in the elements for weeks.

I did my time in the Italian army during the years 1979/80 in the alpine troops, we were issued the pistol Beretta M1934 (vero old single action pistol and old concept) and the Beretta automatic Battle rifle BM59 Mark III ITAL/TA (basically a modified Garand chambered in 7,62x51 Nato with detachable magazine, a pistol grip and a metallic folding buttstock) both were old concepts but reliable guns. I still own a Beretta M34 pistol, wich I don't use, and a Beretta 92SB-F (1985 production bought in the year 1986) wich I still use and maintain, and it's still a reliable sidearm.

I recently bought the BRG9 Elite. For a budget friendly 9mm, the BRG9 is the best bang for your buck. The trigger is a little stiff, and the mag release button is stiff. But these 2 things are a fair trade off, in my opinion, to the mid 200 price range for the gun. I'm a IWI guy. Masada being my favorite 9mm I've ever owned, or even shot. I'm looking to purchase a Jericho now but I'm gonna have to drive 2 and a half hours in order to get one. The Jericho 941, 941 Enhanced, and the Masada are 3 pistols every gun store shore have in stock. In KY where I live, local gun store owners dont have these in stock. A little too Glock crazy around here. Give me Israeli over any other manufacturer any day of the week. God Bless man and I enjoy the videos! Would there be any interest in you doing a video on IWI? I'd really love to see someone dive in on some of there weapons. The Galil is one I'd like to have more info on for certain.

I'm a big fan of Beretta, they've been building guns for over 500 years, my favorite is the 90-2 G model it fits me like a glove but the grips are a bit smooth for some people.

You have a 90-TWO? I have one still NIB and got the extra grip panel and a 90-TWO factory Italian leather holster for it years ago. It and the 92A1 are just about the same gun except for the slide shape, grip and maybe a few smaller differences. 90-TWO is very unique.

@@cerhberus Yes, almost. Founded in 1526, Beretta is in fact the oldest continuously operating firearms manufacturer (or defense contractor, if you will) in the world.

I've owned an carry the Berratta PX4 STORM form many years now,it's a great shooter with a rotating barrel which is supposed to make it more accurate ( to me that's on the person) it's very easy to disassemble and clean,I've never had a misfire of any kind.I mostly shoot the same ammo though usually Remington 115 FMJ to practice with and 147 grain HP for when I carry it.I own the full size so it's not exactly a conceal carry in the summer or in warm days even though my state allows open carry I never do.I believe besides making people unnecessarily uncomfortable it also makes you a target ,so I prefer conceal carry.I have smaller weapons for when it's hotter,you can get the Storm in 3 different sizes that smallest does not have a rotating barrel ,but it is much more concealable with I believe just a 2 in. Barrel length.Their not bad priced usually just a bit over $500.00 .

I love my little 3032 Beretta Tomcat 32ACP Carry. I also love my Beretta M9, a gr8 full size 9. I don't worry about what others say about what the best guns are. WHATEVER feels good in your hand is the best for that person. For me, shot placement is the most important with whatever gun you are comfortable with.

Why ONLY the 80x? The 90 series is still one of the top performers in the World. The Storm is an extraordinary weapon with the rotating barrel design. People still buy Glock which is one of the most dated weapons out there. Almost no innovation in over 30 years yet people act like they are doing a revolutionary deal while still using the Browning tilt barrel design from a hundred year old design.
