Love this firearm!! I shot one in the early 1990’s so much I eventually had to replace multiple springs and parts from shooting thousands of rounds. At around 14,000 the factory trigger pull gauged around 2.7 pounds. I don’t remember its initial pull weight. I always appreciated the m9A-1’s trigger. Great review and content, thanks!!!

Can you do a short on how you are engaging the safety when you draw? I don't get to have much time on my duty weapon so it's hard to practice and finding out a quick way to engage it. Thanks if you do this!

I don't think it's on safe when he draws. The weapon has a de-cocker safety. I carry in DA with safety off. Most people do I would assume.

The newer 92x models and the M9A4 do a few other new ones that have come out in the last 3ish years. You can also have LTT cut your slide for one. I had them do that for me, isnt cheap though. They also sell whole setups ready to rock or just a cut slide.

Used the m9 last trip to afghanistan and did a truck load of training with it. i absolutely love that freaking gun. Smooth trigger, and a really deecent pull on single action(which is the only way id run it). If anyone has used the Girsan Regard let me know your experience with it. Ive been considering buying one due to the super low price. (Ive used the taurus version and im not a fan at all)

How else would you run it? Double first pull, single after that. Only other option is cocked, and not on safe for first pull. You didn’t carry it like that did you?

I have heard the Girsan knockoffs are very good. You can pickup the M9AI or MP for around 650 to 750 depending on where you shop.I found mine for 650 on sale.Well worth it.
