I prefer the FS style safety over the G. You have a safety, AND, you have the decocker. There are times when I want my gun safe, something you can't do with the G. Either way though, it's an awsome pistol. The 92 Elite is sweet too, try it sometime. I wonder what magic Langdon can do the M9A3? I'll have to ask him sometime. Thanks for the vid.

I am an owner of a Beretta 92FS for 15 years now. I am also a huge fan of that gun. Love the M9A3 ever since it came out, but I was hoping for a black version. Now that they have it in black, I will get it for sure. Anyway, having the 92FS and training with it, I never, not once accidentally bumped the safety. I never had any trouble with that. Also in 15 years I had absolutely 0 malfunctions with the gun itself. However I did purchase few 20 round magazines at one point and one of them was bad. It was causing failure to feed. I got rid of it and had no more issues. Just now, 15 years later I decided to purchase all the parts from Wilson Combat, still waiting on the delivery though LoL. I’ll do some changes and see what I’ll get with it. I hope I won’t mess up a perfectly good gun. Thanks for the great video and info.

These things have always had a leg up in the accuracy department. Even clones I've shot were extremely accurate. Guess they better be with fixes sights n all that jazz. I've always been in love with the 92 series and cz sp and p series. They used to be expensive but now they are next to unattainable with the panic buying not to mention the ammo costing almost as much as the gun itself. At that point it becomes a melee weapon. Hahah I will own atleast one of the 2 in the future and I cant wait. Hahah thanks for the video!

Really enjoy your channel. Some of the best semi-auto handgun reviews on youtube. I'd like to make a request if you can ever get around to it. CZ P-01 would be a great review. Maybe just throw some night sights on it, get the cajun gun works enhanced trigger return spring (it reduces DA pull by .5 lbs and it's stronger and should last for thousands of rounds) and their stainless guide rod and 2lb lighter than factor recoil spring. I think most people who get a P-01 would make those upgrades. Aside from the sights the other 2 upgrades would cost less than $30. Anyhow, would love to see that review. CZ SP-01 tactical would also be cool.

I appreciate it. I will keep producing the reviews but I think the channel is going to evolve from just a general review based channel to more of a vlog format where I let more personality out. I just don't see myself putting in money and time to test out a ton of platforms like I used to without any reimbursement possibility on the investment if that makes sense.

My first handgun is the Beretta M9A3 Black Edition. It's on order now. I'm going to really check for the locking block pin 🤔 locking block on the barrel pin isn't factory installed properly. When riding on the slide scared the lower receiver when cycling. I wonder if this was corrected with the Beretta M9A3 Black Edition ? Also there are some reports of the trigger pin malfunctioning. Any feedback on this ?

Very much a Beretta fan. However, I just purchased a Wilson Combat Beretta that is very disappointing. The slide working surfaces have swirling machine marks that I have never seen on a Beretta ,and worse the barrel tabs that run the barrel in the slide have rounded off from the square shape they should have ... I saved for quite some time for this pistol and am hoping Wilson will help me out. Wilson claims Beretta machines the Wilson Beretta to high standards. I have inspected many Beretta 92 and 96 factory pistols that have no such problems. My other Beretta's are excellent as you speak of them. Thanks for a great video and your military service !

Picked up the black version a few months back for about $850 and I love it. The only change I wanted to make were the grips. I went with the g10 Wilson Combats. I also installed the G Conversion Kit because the F model was the only black model available. Like you said, that kit could've changed the game for beretta had it been released 10+ years ago. And I think the bruniton finish that beretta traditionally uses, is far superior to the cerakote they use on the a3 model. I think the action feels much smoother on the bruniton finish.
@jhelmsing5 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, the slide on my M9A3 showed finish wear and the cerakote is not as good as bruniton.

Beretta because - 1 - Glocks don't have enough levers on them to operate properly. 2 - You miss non - synchromesh transmissions. 3 - The military needs to bring back the M14. 4 - Glocks are made of a material like Bakelite = you can't trust them. 5 - Ka-Bar is a knife. Fallkniven is a coffee shop in Germany or Bavaria, or something. 6 - You're probably gonna miss on the first trigger pull anyway.

Removal of the safety, dove tailed sights, beveled grip for ease of mag insertion are all good improvements but ones other manufactures have made long ago in the under $500 price range so I am still at a loss how this model warrants a $900 price tag. I think I can live with the standard FS model or the Inox compact, just sayin. Maybe it will come at the end of your review but thus far besides be a beautiful firearm and what Beretta isn't ,oh ya the Pico I just can't see the price justification.

How would u compare this pistol to a p226 legion
@jhelmsing6 жыл бұрын
Tough call.. I'd give ergos to the legion, I just like the X-Five undercut. The G10 grips are also nicer. The trigger is better on the M9A3, but the reset is better in the srt Sigs. Sights are a wash. The X Ray 3's are nice but I hate the front dot. The m9a3 sights work very well for me. The Beretta has a capacity advantage over the 226... All in all I think both are awesome guns, biggest factor is if you are a Sig or Beretta guy as the feeling and manual of arms are totally different.
@paulh61016 жыл бұрын
J Helmsing gotcha. The reset is my main pet peeve with pistols with all other things being acceptable. Does the a3 have a reset like a p07, something like a two stage pull, reset-take up-break, after every shot? The Sig srt spring kit allows the nicest reset of ANY pistol imo.
@jhelmsing6 жыл бұрын
It's not nearly as bad as a P07 reset. It's actually surprisingly short, it's just not in the same league as the Sig SRT triggers, which I agree are the shortest out there that I've shot.

That cerakote bullshit I’ve never seen it hold up on any rifle or pistol l sent my Glock off to a well known shop that sprays it on after 1 year it’s all chipped off and where it’s not chipped it’s worn down to bare metal, You might as well rattle can that shit it’ll last longer
