I've been on these blue double decker (I think trains if I re-call not trams) things in Rome. They were not bad but oh boy do you have to wait for one to arrive sometimes. I just liked having a train with an upstairs. Nice and smooth these and nice stuff to see out the window.

you are referring to the double-decker trains called Vivalto, these in the video are small convoys for urban transport within cities called trams

Descent trams these are. Nice seats and very good acceleration as well.

Ask the tram operator in Gothenburg in Sweden what they think about theirs. They were all grounded after only 10 years in service due to corrosion and cracking frames. And they will all be scrapped before they are 20 years old, with older trams from the 60s still being in use.

My trip to Italy was painful due to the heat. The trams have aircon. A couple of times the heat got nasty when walking outside. At least in cities there are vomiting dragons that you can use to cool yourself down
