We just bought the LT6 and all the positive points are still there. Most of the issues you mention here are solved in the version 2, remaining the water comming through the floor (only 7000 mm). So we use an extra 3x4 polyester "carpet" underneath. Inner tent detachable, which is very practical in wet conditions. But it's attached/hanging by/on elastics only, so we'll see after several years how that holds. Beware that the tent is noisy in the wind due to all the fabric and surfaces.

If im gonna guess i think the velcro floorflap is for use in wintertime. When you set it up on snow you can open up the flap and dig a coldpit in the snow. Keeps the tent warmer.

I have the tentipi safir 5 light and I dont really have those problem you are mentioning like the eggshape and sagging of the fabric. I use it without inner tent with the floor. The inner tent when I use that, very rarely, definitely is sagging, the benefit is its more insect protected. I really like how you do your reviews, you really see in to important detail and you dont always blame the manufacturer, really great. My tentipi 5 was bought used from Tentipis site, the outlet, and the velcro that goes around the opening for chimney was a bit worn so when I had heavy rain last august/september in just south of Sarek, Njoatosvagge, there was a fine sprinkle, very little, of rain coming in but still a problem when it rained for 36 hour straigh. I didnt have a stove in, closed the opening as good as I could but not perfect closure. I bought it used, knew there could be some problem, and now its somewhat fixed. Have to try it in hard rain though. Sorry for long comment...

Thanks for a long comment!!! 😀 We like that!!! Nice to hear that you are happy with your tentipi. They are high quality almost like Hilleberg or Helsport tents. Is safir the one with canvas fabric? Have you tried to impregnated the fabric? You don't need rain! You can also try in the garden under the water hose. 😀 /Matti

@@JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA My Safir is the light, its a silnylon variety. The fabric itself is perfectly waterproof, it was through the stove pipe opening and it was only with very long hard rain I had any problem, it was just a very fine mist almost invisible drips. with a regular night rain. The safir exist in a polycotton variety and in the light version, the polycotton would be about 9-10 kg with floor (5 person size) while the light verion is 6,0 kg. The tent is really good in hard wind if properly set up of course, using all the guy ropes. Sometime I even put a rope through the top loop and in the wind direction to support the pole more (wind is of course quite unpredictable changing quick). I really like the omfort of that tent, dont walk very far, I was helicoptered out last summer ( I am 60+) used it like a base camp tent but I did move it some short distance. We were 2 guys, my friend took off for a week with his one man tent then came back so we had a week toghether.

Looks a good group tent. I will stick with my Hilleberg Tarra.

Interesting. The new model of the Wiglo do not have a stove pipe exit possibility. The old version you presented can by the looks of it easily be used with a Lavvo wood stove. Have you used it with a stove?
