Bergara 6.5 Creedmoor Chasing Prairie Dogs

This is my new Bergara, B14 HMR wilderness camo chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.
Bergara’s B-14 Wilderness series bridges the gap between the B-14 and Premier Series. The Wilderness series tackles the need for rifles that can withstand the rugged and unforgiving wilderness while blending into those very same elements. This is the reason for Bergara’s hand-painted camouflage stocks with added webbing for increased texture and grip. All Wilderness Series barreled actions feature Sniper Grey Cerakote finishes for advanced protection in extremely harsh weather.
The B-14 Wilderness HMR (Hunting and Match Rifle) features Bergara’s integrated mini-chassis molded into the stock to give the rifle repeatable bedding and accuracy. The world-renowned Bergara barrel is finished in Sniper Grey Cerakote and features a seamless, omnidirectional, and multi-ported muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil by up to 35-percent. However, I have replaced the omnidirectional brake with an Area 419 Hellfire Match Brake and the difference in felt recoil is amazing.
The Wilderness HMR is complemented by Bergara’s super-smooth B-14 Action, which is a two-lug system with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech to ensure smooth feeding and extraction of the cartridge. It has been factory drilled and tapped to fit Remington 700 style rings and bases. Mounted is my Discovery Optics 5-25x56 ED PRS.
In this episode, I will stretch things out to 1000 yards as well as chase prairie dogs with Hornady 143gr ELD-X rounds. For the long range targets, I will be running Hornady 140gr ELD-M rounds.

Spotting is a skill in and of itself. Taking a rifle out to distance shows you it can be done but it takes a lot of skill to have first round impacts.
