It would be cool if the mini tvs inside the trains showed the front view, like this. They could record it on a sunny day like this, and show it all the time. Although you see a lot from the train, it's never the same as having the opportunity to see all of it.

Why aren't there lights in the tunnel? Does the cab not have a headlight and if not how would it see an animal if it were in the tunnel? Probably a dumb question but it's a need to know kind of thing.

Type 'Bergen Oslo Stations Wiki' into search box and click on stations to get a list. I used Google maps to follow this fantastic ride !!! NB: There are some 5-10 mile long tunnels so be prepared to take a coffee break while the train goes through them. The poster has brilliantly tagged each tunnel onscreen so you'll know which ones are really long ! Also...if you are following the track on Google it is sometimes hard to locate it so jump to the next station and backtrack (literally).

Why can't they stick a google-earth camera to the front of one of these trains and use it to create the ultimate train simulator... how hard would it be to transfer the actual images of the actual tracks in to a game?
@TuckingFypoo11 жыл бұрын
possible, however your point of view would be stuck to the front of the train, and if you look behind you, all you will see is the front of the train
Very nice (except for the chime). I would like to see what the train looks like?

Nice video, beautiful scenery and a smooth, extensive train route through remote areas. Must've cost a fortune to carve out all the tunnels, for some were extremely long. However, with reference to poster, T. Weed, what is the point of going through tunnels with the headlights off? Nevertheless, thanks for the video.

A few people are complaining about the ding with the labels, if you dont like it, turn the volume down. The soundtrack does not add to the experience. all you can hear is rattling in the back ground and muffled voices. Not even a clickety clack train noise. Pretty addictive watching though. I love train travel.

At the beginning of the video, the train passes through a long tunnel, but does not turn on its headlights. Is this normal, not to use headlights in tunnels? I would think it to be a risk to the train for the driver not to be able to see what is ahead.

Well, the speeds are pretty common around Europe I think, if you talk about 140 being the top speed. In my country there are many railroad crossings, and there is always a danger of a cyclist or a car or even a truck on the tracks.
