Ah, this reminds me of my latest run. Had to abort attempting this on my first run, but preparing for this and having some godly Berit level ups, she absolutely stomped Leonora, and her showing in this chapter had something in common with her Tyronar fight: she didnt get hit ONCE!

Okay so, this Berit was: Level 17 45 HP, 15 Strength, 17 Skill, 20 Speed, 14 Defense Dragon Axe, Swordreaver, Hand Axe. Before Leonora is slain, Berit reached Level 6 with: 54 HP 21 Strength, 22 Skill, 23 Speed, 19 Defense This definitely seems possible. I’ll have to try this next run!

@Speedwinghere I did it!!! Berit’s a beast, and now I can get Ashe and see what all the hu’bub is about. *Disclaimer: this was on normal mode. While Leonora’s stats were slightly down (19 speed in normal as opposed to 21 in Hard if I recall correctly), her elite units still carry brave weapons and axereavers - almost killed my Berit. This is a general guide as to how I went about preparing for the Berit blast. (Having played Hard Mode recently and based on Speedwings’ Lunatic, the Berit blast is perfectly achievable on all modes.) On my normal run, by the end of Chapter 4, my Berit was level 11 with the following stats: 39 Hp 15 Strength 11 Skill 16 Speed 11 Defense In Chapter 4, I had her take the left side, grabbed the village for extra experience. In Chapter 2, I rescued the villagers and gave them to Berit for experience. Baudimon and most of the crew were hanging out west. Thea and Colter were diminishing the eastern forces before the boss arrived, and I managed to give the boss kill to Berit. Also, I had Samuel rescue Runa, met Fred in the middle, then had Samuel go back to visit the Hunter Bow village. Fred went to Baudimon and dropped Runa. According to @Speedwinghere, you can equip Berit with a Holy Axe to delete the enemies in the cave-terror chapter. I didn’t do this, but it’s a good move. Mainly, I had Berit knock out a couple of sirens (they seem to yield a lot of experience), and had Berit break some terror-eggs. In the Leonora chapter, my Berit was level 16. She killed one of the stationary generals in the north to reach Level 17. Her stats before promotion: 42 HP 20 Strength 16 Skill 20 Speed 17 Luck 17 Defense After the first wave of Leonora’s crack unit, my Berit was left with 7 out of 48 HP - Berit reached Level 4. *Phew* (And this is on normal mode; they still have freakin’ Brave weapons!!!) Berit popped an elixir, deleted the rest of Leonora’s elites, then she proceeded to finish the job. The Berit-has-merit-Blast was a success!!!

I let those two get A-support for Berit to get Sturdy. Making her a dodge tank and crit killing machine. I had to bench her a while since she got way too powerful as I am obssesed with 20/20 level up. Some Talismans and Holy Water make her unstoppable. She literally handled the whole gate by herself in chapter 29 in my playthrough.

By the endgame, I’d be lucky if she was doing more than 6 damage to an enemy, and most times it was genuinely 0. Her 35% strength growth really screwed her over, and frankly I might go into FEBuilder and bump it up to 45, just so she can do /something/ other than look pretty. Maybe I just got really screwed, but still.

@@BerthramAldvonnormandI just finished a Hard Mode run. For me, Thea turned out great. She was effective at deleting troublesome enemies. The Moonblade is so good. Edit* On a Lunatic run, I went with the Magic Swap. (I made sure Thea maxed her strength, first.) She had an A support with Shom, and she only used Flame Swords. She dominated! In the Rescue Tendaris map, she handled a wave of Lunatic reinforcements by herself. Shom’s support gives her an avoid ability that helps a lot.

I’m trying out a normal run; I want to experiment and see how easy or difficult this mode is. Hey Speedwing, Natalie is about to promote out of villager at the beginning of the Leonora map. I’m thinking myrmidon for the higher skill and speed caps. What say you? Okay so, she only has a 25% defense growth, so I don’t think the Hero caps complement her bulk growth. I may just go myrmidon. But on the other hand, she’ll get axes, but I don’t think her constitution will make the most out of them unless I give her con-stat boosters, which I could… I don’t know. Iron Axes weigh 10, Steel Axes weigh 15. Even if I give her constitution, she’ll be weighed down a lot. I think I’ll go myrmidon.

@@Speedwinghere Hmm, so I discovered a few things. Even if you make Natalie a myrmidon, she can still promote into a Hero. From Myrmidon to Hero, Natalie gets 10 Con. From Myrmidon to Swordmaster, Natalie only gets 7 Con. As a Swordmaster, Steel Swords will weigh her down by 3. (I could give her Con-boosters, but I wonder if I should save them for someone else.) I may go with Hero, after all.

I tried the Berit blast but ultimately failed because of Leonora's brave sword in hard mode. Yet in the video (lunatic) she doesn't use it, why is that ?

I'm assuming because she couldn't get in melee range she equipped the spear to get a range attack, then I killed her before she had the chance to swap again. EDIT: nevermind I just watched it back I have no clue actually

I haven't played normal so I'm not sure, but perhaps the turns until she turns up are more generous, so you finished the map before she appeared. That's just a guess though
