Excellent program Jennifer. I am excited at Berkeley Labs' contribution to science, but especially when they share what they have learned with the public. Keep up the good work. I am subscribed to you! Keith

Never heard about sone as a measure of noise just dB. I think even older homes can be tight enough that the air quality will get really bad without ventilation. I used to live in an old rented apartment and in winter with all windows close there was only one bathroom fan that exhausted air just when the light was on and the CO2 levels got over 1000ppm with only two people inside that 60sqm apartment. My new house that I build is extremely thigh to be energy efficient so ventilation is a must.

I'm confused. Why does cooking on an electric stove produce pollutants? I also wonder how much I really should worry about indoor air pollution when I'm exposed every day to exhaust from people sitting in idling vehicles in parking lots all around me...
