Cameron Thistle Thanks for the kind words, Cameron! It's a Meinl 20 inch thin hammered crash. It is easily the nicest sounding cymbal I have ever played. 10/10 would recommend.

***** oh awesome! I didn't realize they are 16" haha. My next meinl excursion will definetely be for some 15" still deciding between the dark, vintage pure, or extra dry. Do they cut relatively well?

Oh boy they cut perfectly. Not a lot, just the right amount. Definitely the best hi hats I have ever played. Very versatile too

Great dude ! So you got it ! Amazing ! I wanted to ask you what drum heads you use and the cymbals and why mixing zildjian ans meinl ?

Thanks! I'm using Remo coated emps for toms, Remo coated emperor x for snare, and evans heavyweight emad for kick. As for cymbals (from left to right) I have Meinl Byzance Extra Dry medium thin hi hats 16", Zildjian A custom projection crash 18", Zildjian a custom rock ride 21", and finally a Meinl Byzance Thin Hammered Crash 20". No specific reason for mixing cymbal companies, just looking for what sounds best.

***** thanks for the answer.i have 2 more question^^ what's the red book in front of you and is it really weird to play on 16 inch hats after playing on 14 hats cuz im really diggin into those hats haha. they look and sound awesome !

The book is called Rhythmic Illusions by Gavin Harrison. It goes really deep into displacement and "bending" time. And no it's not weird going from 14 to 16. The weird part is going back to a 14.
