Great video. 1) On your first retrieve do you always let it hit the bottom and then do your two jerks all the way back to your kayak. 2) Do you do this same retrieve mid-depth also with the two jerks ? I have only used this once and found the fish got turned off if you let it fall back too long. I'm in Wisconsin on the Mississippi River, not that it matters that much. You got a new SUB. Keep up the good work!

@@marktolmie9681 I usually let it hit the bottom and do the traditional jerk jerk pause and let it sink but how long you let it sink back down is something you have to mess with because it’s always different.I usually use that in the shallower depths when I get deeper I will work it a little faster but I mainly fish shallower. If you have ffs just play around with the different retrieves and see what they like most.

Thanks. What length rod are you using, how heavy, and what action do you like ?

@@marktolmie9681 I’m a kayak angler so when it comes to rods I kind of got what I got. I stick to spinning, and I just use 10 pound mono for longer cast and it makes the top water action a little easier I feel like. Don’t be scared to keep that bait moving fast, if a fish is going to eat it,it will eat it so don’t feel as if you are pulling the bait away from them.
