Ive been fishing this rig for about 10 years. Ive also been trying to teach people to fish it. For some reason most folks dont do it, or cant figure it out. One of the deadliest year round baits available.

Yes it is! I don’t throw it enough! It’s a cold water killer 👍

swing heads are amazing , specially for smallmouth

For sure! It’s probably my favorite technique in the winter when the smallies get tight to the bottom.

Sir, what line size do you use for this technique at Dale Hollow?
@so.inoutdoors Жыл бұрын
It typically depends on the depth that I’ll be fishing. If they are out in the 20-30ft range I will go with a 3/4 head and 4/0 hook combo. If they are a little shallower in the 20ft or less range I typically stick with a 1/2 ounce head. If they are real finicky I’ll shorten up the plastic to a 3”. Good luck and tight lines !

@@so.inoutdoors thanks so much! Are you using 20lb line?

@@radsaves No, I down size pretty substantially in that clear water. Never heavier than 14 but mostly throw it on 12. Just check your line and knot very frequently 👍
